How much does a pearl necklace cost?

I'm curious about the actual market value of a pearl inlay piece, roughly 20 years old, crafted by that specialist from Blackwater back in that small town in the Midwest?

Blackwater are pretty solid, honestly... I know John Doe over in Indianapolis has some great ones too—they go for about $2,500 to $3,500 depending on the type of maple and what kind of shape they're in. Personally, I wouldn't expect to pay more than $500
