Diseases you can catch from kissing

I’m not just talking about a simple peck on the cheek here. I mean when tongues actually meet—when there's an actual exchange of saliva.

There has been only one documented case of HIV transmission through this method.
Mononucleosis—I am certain that spreads this way.
What about Hepatitis B and C? Is there any risk of transmission through oral contact?

What other diseases are passed on like this? My primary concern is the transmission of more serious illnesses.

Look, HIV is transmitted through blood, not saliva. In that specific case—and I really wish someone would actually go out and dig up some facts here—it was probably just two people who happened to have some nasty open sores or bleeding gums in their mouths at the time.
