Does anyone here actually own this monitor?
I could really use some insight...
I was messing around with my settings today and realized I can't seem to pick up any local HD channels. I can pull in signals from neighboring states, but I'm mostly just getting audio—and even that is hit or miss. Sometimes I just get an "HD not supported" error message. As far as I understand, this monitor is equipped with an MPEG4 tuner, so the whole situation is quite baffling. On top of that, when I power it on to use it like a TV, it occasionally fails to load the channel immediately. It just displays "mono," forcing me to switch to a different channel and then back again just to get a signal.
Do I need to take this to a repair shop?

Please, let me know if anyone actually owns one; I refuse to believe I'm the only person left on earth with this problem 😁

It's becoming a bit urgent 😢 because if this thing uses MPEG4, then there is clearly a major issue with my monitor. If it doesn't, then every single resource I've consulted has been feeding me nothing but misinformation 😢

1. Which monitor model are you using?
2. Have you double-checked to make sure you're actually getting an HD signal in the first place?
3. What kind of antenna is this all hooked up to?

1. Samsung T260HD
2. I’m picking up channels 1, 2, and 3 from the local area, but there's no audio—or sometimes even that isn't working. A message pops up saying "HD not supported," yet the local HD broadcast isn't being detected at all. I'm currently over in Arlington, if that matters; I assume the signal might be patchy across the rest of the metro area.
3. Building-mounted antenna

Did you make sure to set it to scan via the antenna?

I ran into the exact same headache myself; mine was only picking up the HD channels, so I just went into the settings and told it to search for analog signals over UHF instead.

I ran into a similar headache myself; the tuner was stubbornly hunting only for HD channels, so I had to go into the menu and tell it to scan for analog signals over UHF instead.

Well, there's no use fighting it...

It appears to be MPEG-2 after all, rather than MPEG-4.

Naturally, I can pick up the digital broadcast in SD quality just fine. My curiosity was centered on whether I could pull in an HDTV signal. It seems the answer is no 😢, despite the fact that everywhere I looked when purchasing this unit, the packaging claimed it featured an MPEG-4 tuner capable of HDTV reception. Well...

I reached out to Samsung via their website to clear things up, and they replied stating that the monitor supports MPEG-4. Honestly, I’m more confused now than when I started.
Does anyone here actually own this monitor? Please let me know.

I picked this up on Saturday, October 10th. I’m running into the same picture quality issues. The image is terrible, regardless of whether I'm searching for an analog or digital signal. On the digital side, it seems like I can't catch a single signal—or maybe I just don't know how to command it (even the auto-scan failed to find anything). I’d be thrilled if I could just get a clear, interference-free picture via analog. Also, how do I set it to scan over CNN? Sorry, I'm not much help here, but... do you have any advice for me?
