This has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand, and the subject is just the thread count—"more than 2 or 3 for chat," right?
There are other subforums without chats, and the philosophy section was without one for a while too. Instead of making a fuss, people just moved over to spirituality... you can do the exact same thing now, I don't see what the big deal is?! 🤷
The issue is that you shut down the chat (along with three other threads) for no apparent reason, and it's pretty obvious to read between the lines.

We aren't looking to migrate elsewhere; we want to see if your word is actually as "final" as you claim, and whether the arguments you used to close the chat (and those other three threads) actually hold water... because from where we're sitting, they don't.
And we want our "place under the sunlight" back, you know? People have already tried explaining this to you in other posts.
Just be patient while I finish the work I started, then we can discuss the chat.

I've made my stance clear: there was far too much chatting and cluttering on the spirituality section. Once I see that isn't the sole purpose of this subforum, we'll open a dedicated chat thread.

A chat thread is specifically *for* chatting; you can't really have "too much" of it, right?
If, in your opinion, there was too much chatting in threads like What kind of music do you listen to (you spiritual types🙂 , Spirituality through Film and Photography , Spirituality and Philosophy in Poetry
clean them out of the chatters, and you'll see that
you won't have any work to do and you can just reopen it.
Don't embarrass yourself by trying to cram every branch of art into one single category... you won't gain anything but total chaos. Leave spirituality to the people who actually care about it.
