Greetings, everyone. I have taken your various pieces of advice to heart and finally pulled the trigger on some components; I also decided it would be wise to pick up a brand-new power supply, so I find myself wondering which unit might be the most suitable. I suppose I should mention that I'll be prioritizing purchases from Rolling Stone or Uzy shop, if possible.

My parts list is as follows:

Motherboard:
ASRock B85M Pro4

Graphics Card:
XFX Radeon R9 380

RAM:
1x 8GB HyperX 1866MHz

Processor:
Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz

And a 120GB SSD

My sincere thanks to all of you for providing such helpful information.🙂

Jack for that kind of money this, I actually checked out the review and they gave it some pretty glowing praise. It’s easily one of the top picks from what Uzishop has in stock. Then again, you probably don't even need something that powerful

I’m running a Raider myself, and honestly, I can’t even hear it over my case fans. 😁

I was wondering if I might trouble you for your thoughts on this particular power supply; I suppose the wattage seems sufficient enough for my needs, but perhaps you have some firsthand experience with this specific brand that I should be aware of?

Not a chance. That’s strictly for budget builds—don't let that 600W rating fool you.🙂

Like Adam Moore3 said... that thing isn't even pulling 500W on the 12V rail

At that price point, you aren't going to find a decent 500W power supply. High-quality units like that usually start at around $183 or even more.

That Xilence unit is just some low-end Chinese office power supply. 😛 I doubt it even hits 400W, not to mention all the other areas where it falls short.

Since you didn't specify a budget, we just suggested something that matched the price-to-performance ratio of your other parts.

I was actually looking into the EVGA MaxPro series... it seems pretty solid, right up there with that beQuiet! System Power 7. That 600W model is $13 actually pricier than the beQuiet! 500W version, despite only gaining 72W in output. You could probably go with either one.

It’s not exactly a great list... and honestly, trying to make it any more precise would probably be too much work.

What specifically is wrong with the list?

They basically tossed all the Corsair units into one bucket. Is the Corsair RM series actually "acceptable"? And are Fortron Raiders considered "bad"? There's more to the list, but those are the obvious ones.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand here. I'm trying to figure out if a Fortron Hyper 600 w can actually handle an FX8300 (which I might try to overclock down the road once I pick up a better cooler), an R9 380X, and 8GB of RAM.
For the rest of the build, I've got two HDDs, one SSD, an optical drive, and just a handful of case fans... Thanks.

Why is there such a massive amount of hate directed at Fortron power supplies on international forums, specifically when it comes to the Hyper series?

Because if it isn’t Seasonic or Corsair, it’s basically garbage to them.
It's just like how none of those tech reviewers actually know how to build a budget rig.

Anything that isn't an i5 paired with a GTX 960 or better plus a 700w PSU is just a junk pile.

It's true. I've noticed they always push Seasonic or XFX units that end up costing over $100.

What kind of power supply would you suggest in the 500 to $200...
I've been weighing the options between the Thermaltake Smart 630 w sebe and the Fortron Hyper 600 w, though I’m wondering if there might be something actually worth considering instead...
