Copying my post from the soccer forum; they sent me over here...
HELP PEOPLE!
So, I had a total nightmare during my soccer game today—really trashed my right wrist. I was diving to block a shot (mind you, this was my first time playing goalie in forever!) and my arm just twisted completely wrong. Now the whole thing is swollen, and honestly, everywhere I touch it hurts like crazy. Even when I'm just sitting still, there's this constant, throbbing pain.
I've got a wrap on it, been icing it all day, and I even tried soaking the bandage in some rubbing alcohol—which sounds weird, I know—but nothing is working to dull the pain enough so I can actually get some sleep.
WHAT SHOULD I DO, HELP!! Does anyone have experience with this!!!
////
Second update: I'm planning to head to the ER in the morning to get a splint put on, but the problem is these next six hours... if I stay awake, I'll just be suffering until then. Once they immobilize the arm, I can go straight to the psych ward, probably—I just can't fall asleep because no matter how I position it, it hurts.
///I don't think anything is broken, though—I could move my fingers and wiggle the joint a bit when it happened, but now everything just feels totally stiff.
// Third one:
Here is what I have in my medicine cabinet: Celebrex, Fonid, Contral, Claritin, and Tylenol.
I have no clue what does what—can any of these help?
-------------
Someone just suggested the Tylenol, so I took one pill. Looking for expert opinions!
