There is absolutely no need for you to offer any apologies whatsoever. Even he lacks the basic understanding of how to correctly punctuate "is it" versus the colloquial contraction! 😉

And what about the avatars? It is exactly as I have stated before. My sincerest apologies that there are even Christians present in these digital spaces to begin with. That yellow armband across the arm—an unwanted mark, an unwelcome label, whatever you choose to call it, Lucifer... 🙂

Is that any clearer?

What about the avatars? It is just as stated... an apology for the existence of Christians in this space. A yellow armband, an unwanted label—call it whatever you want, Lucifer... 🙂

Is that clear enough?

I read private messages, but I don't understand the response. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/ugly002.gif

True,😁 I don't have the most beautiful avatar in the world, and I would join this dull coalition myself, but🤔 one could simply post a banner on the philosophy board: "Bring Christian discussion to the American religion forums."😁

A yellow armband or, if you want to put it another way, a yellow Star of David... it’s a mark used by
the Nazis to label Jews across Europe. We all know that history.
So, in my view... I think it’s pretty provocative when "Christians"
choose to mark themselves out like that voluntarily. It makes it seem as though the entire religion has been branded by the Nazis,
among other things.

That logo on the avatars—it's slightly altered, but basically says: "Sorry, I'm
Catholic." You could find stickers like that in any local parish sacristy
of a Roman Catholic church. They were usually meant to be stuck on front doors
so that Jehovah's Witnesses or various other sects would stop showing up,
ringing the bell, and bothering believers who had those signs posted.

The thing is, changing an avatar to say "Sorry, I'm
a Christian"... it doesn't accomplish anything besides provoking people who aren't, which just
creates more division and unnecessary competition. That isn't really the mark of someone who considers themselves
a Christian. Besides... Jesus didn't go around wearing labels; instead,
he let his life speak for who he was and who he stood for.

Forgive me, fellow Christians... but as a Roman Catholic woman, I have to ask:
I believe in the cross, which is where your very name comes from, but how exactly are you living out that faith?

We all know how the Nazis used to mark Jews across Europe.
The way they celebrate those "Christians"... honestly, I think it's a bit provocative.
I did it by choice, because otherwise you'd have to claim that religion itself is somehow branded with Nazi symbols.
And things are different too... strictly speaking.

The logo on their avatars is just a slightly tweaked version that basically says: "Sorry, I'm..."
"Catholic." You could pick up stickers like that anywhere, even just hanging around a local parish vestry.
Roman Catholic churches used to put them right on the front doors of buildings, where...
I guess people are moving just to get those Jehovah's Witnesses and all the other cults to finally leave them alone.
Ringing doorbells and harassing people just because they have those stickers on their doors. Seriously?

So, they're changing their avatars now and adding those "Forgive me, I am..." captions. Real subtle.
Being a Christian... doesn't really amount to anything besides picking fights with people who aren't.
It just creates more friction and unnecessary competition. That’s definitely not how people who actually know what they're doing carry themselves.
To all you Christians out there. For the record... Jesus didn't go around walking around with stickers stuck to him, he just...
His whole life was just one long testimony to who he was and what he stood for.

Sorry, fellow Christians... just being a Roman Catholic woman, and I stand by my faith.
So, where does that name you all claim to go by actually come from, and how exactly do you live it out?

Seriously, does everything on this forum have to turn into a political debate? 🙄
Look, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists... whatever—it’s all the same to me. I'm an atheist, and honestly, who even cares? 🤷
Heading out for coffee. ☕
Yeah, true. I guess I'm a bit of an outcast too. 😬

Susan Brooks83 said:So, you’ve got a yellow armband wrapped around your sleeve, or if you want to put it more bluntly, it’s basically like wearing a yellow Star of David... it's a mark used to identify someone.
Look, we all know how it went down—the Nazis used those marks to single out Jews across Europe, and that’s just a historical fact we can't ignore.
I mean, if you ask me... I honestly think there's something incredibly provocative about the way these self-proclaimed "Christians" go about marking their presence like that.
Look, I’m doing this entirely of my own free will here, because if I don't, it's going to look like that whole religion PDF is basically stamped with some Nazi branding... which, let's be honest, is a pretty heavy accusation to be dragging around.
And it’s all just... different. Completely, fundamentally different. Totally distinct.

That logo they’ve got sitting on all those avatars—it’s basically just a slightly tweaked version of the original, right? If you actually look at what it’s trying to say, it essentially boils down to: "My bad, I am..."
"Catholic." You know, back in the day, you could pick up those kinds of stickers anywhere—even just grabbing one from the little supply closets at the local parish.
The Roman Catholic Church—well, they used to have these things that served as markers right at the entrance of a building, where...
It’s honestly my biggest dream—just to live somewhere where we can finally get some peace and quiet, you know? A place where those Jehovah's Witnesses and all those other fringe cults just stop showing up on your doorstep every other weekend. It would be nice to exist without constantly having to dodge someone trying to hand you a pamphlet about the end of the world while you're just trying to grab your mail in peace.
So, you’ve got people out there actually ringing doorbells and harassing believers who have those little decals on their windows? It’s honestly wild to me—just walking up to someone's private residence to cause a scene because of a sticker. It feels like some kind of targeted harassment, right? Like, just leave people alone in their own homes if they want to display their faith.

So, I mean, what is even happening with this whole thing where people keep swapping out their avatars and slapping those little captions on them that say, "Sorry, I am..." It’s just wild, isn't it? You see someone's profile picture change and suddenly they're trying to broadcast some kind of public apology or a specific identity marker like they're walking down a street in Chicago trying to explain themselves to every stranger they pass. It feels like we've all collectively decided to turn our digital identities into a series of tiny, frantic billboards. Honestly, it’s a bit much. It’s like watching someone walk into a Starbucks, standing on a chair, and shouting their life story at the barista just to make sure everyone knows exactly where they stand before they order their latte. We get it! You're here, you're there, you're this or that—you don't need to put it in neon lights on your profile icon for the entire internet to see.
Calling oneself a "Christian"... honestly, it doesn't lead anywhere except to picking fights with everyone else, which just seems like a massive waste of energy if you ask me.
It just breeds this massive sense of friction and constant, unnecessary competition. Honestly, that’s not exactly the hallmark of people who actually consider themselves... well, you know, decent human beings.
Look, I’ve got to say this to all you Christians out there... It’s just common sense, really. I mean, think about it—Jesus didn't exactly go around walking around with little stickers or labels stuck to his clothes to let everyone know what he stood for, right? He lived it. He just was. You don't need a decal on your bumper to prove who you are or what you believe in.
His whole life was basically one big, walking testimony—it wasn't just about what he said, but how he lived, showing exactly who he was and whose side he was on.

Forgive me, fellow Christians... I'm a Roman Catholic woman, and honestly, that’s something I stand by with everything I believe.
So, I’ve been sitting here thinking about that whole label we all carry around—you know, that specific name we use to define ourselves—and it really makes you wonder where the root of it actually comes from. I mean, if we look at the cross, which is obviously the very foundation of the name we claim, how do we actually live that out in our daily lives? It’s one thing to say the word, but it’s a whole different ballgame to actually witness it through your actions, isn't it?

🙏🙏🙏

After this goes down, those fake-it-'til-you-make-it Christians with their performative social media profiles can just crawl back into whatever hole they came from and stay there so they stop embarrassing themselves. 😬

Forgive me, fellow Christians... but I am a Roman Catholic woman, a fact I confirm through my faith
in the cross, from which the very name you use originates—but how are you actually living out that faith?

What on earth are you talking about???? Since when is saying "I am a Christian" considered a provocation to others??? Since when did being a Christian and stating it publicly become an affront to people who aren't???? Should I be chasing Jehovah's Witnesses away from my porch with a baseball bat just because they want to "convert" me? Because, good grief, according to you, that would be the actual provocation. If a sticker that says "Sorry, I am a Christian" is offensive to some people out there, then that says a whole lot more about them than it does about Christians. And yes, forgive me, but I am a Christian too.............🙄🙄

I guess people want to feel seen, but honestly, it comes off a little performative to me—just my two cents.
Being a Christian... honestly, it doesn't lead to anything besides just picking fights with people who aren't—and frankly, it's just a waste of time.
It just breeds more friction and constant competition—which isn't exactly what you'd expect from people who think they're so much better than everyone else.

So, where does that whole "cross" thing actually come from—the very name you guys use to identify yourselves—and how do you even experience it in your daily lives?

Despite all our disagreements, clashes, and—let's be honest—the occasional shouting matches, this is exactly the kind of Christianity I actually respect and value—it's just that I don't see it happening nearly often enough.

My respects.

Jehovah's Witnesses are also considered Christians.

The real sticker for a Jehovah's Witness would be "Sorry, I'm actually Roman Catholic."
Give it another shot. ☕

As for those folks with the avatars, they aren't really using yellow armbands; instead, they're waving the flag of Vatican City right in our faces—which, let's be honest, feels like a global superpower of misconduct led by Nazi Germany itself.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much weight we carry from our past. It’s easy to get caught up in old grudges or the way things used to be, but I find that holding onto that tension just wears you down. I remember back when I was living in Chicago, I had this one neighbor who I couldn't stand for years because of a silly misunderstanding over a parking spot. It felt huge at the time. Eventually, I realized that carrying that anger was doing more damage to my own peace than it ever did to him. Once I let it go, everything shifted. Life is too short to stay stuck in those old patterns. We have to find a way to move forward, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. kaže:
I’m going to hold off on sharing my "this is my church" spot. I wouldn't want to scare anyone away.😁

Come on, just give me one day... I might actually be able to scale this business. ☕

With respect, that's exactly what I meant right at the start of my sentence.
I see that you are a Christian, but... even Christians can offend the Virgin Mary, can't they? ☕

If someone is truly a Christian, they won't go around labeling themselves just to provoke those who aren't,
well, that's where the provocation starts. It's because others might feel less valued,
you know? That isn't what Jesus wants; to Him, everyone has value, and He wants
everyone to be saved. Even Savio was an atheist once... before he became Paul. Am I not allowed
to hang out with whoever I want? Honestly, I've suffered more from "Christians" than from
those who aren't... specifically from this habit of slapping labels on people, all under the
guise of... well, that's how God wants it. They dump burdens on others that they don't even carry themselves,
at least that's what Jesus says... and believe me, it's true. I could testify to that if I
really tried.

Lastane, I think anything someone says can be considered constructive
dialogue, provided they are speaking their truth. That’s how I’ve viewed our disagreements,
our clashes, and our fights... right from the start... because beneath it all, there is a
different heart and a different perspective beating. 🤔 🙂 🙂
When I mention the "heart," I mean a person's inner self, known only to them and the Creator.

Thanks for the respect, but I'm passing it straight along to God... because He is the only one worthy of
your praise, not my little self... I'm just a pen in His Hand, doing the writing.
Though, sometimes maybe not... then I'm the one writing... and you've read the results. 🙄 🙂
