Summary: One single day of non-stop tornadoes absolutely leveled Silverton. While these killer twisters tear through everything in sight, the experts are freaking out, saying the worst is still on its way. Most people are just scrambling for a storm cellar, but there’s this group of adrenaline junkies who won't pass up a once-in-a-lifetime shot—they're gonna try to chase the storm of the century as long as they can stay alive...

I’m a sucker for disaster movies—it feels like it’s been forever since we got a decent one—but based on this trailer, I have a feeling this is going to be absolute garbage 🤣

They don't even run Mayday or Seconds from Disaster on National Geographic anymore 😛

Trailer makes it look like it might be a bit of a dud, but honestly, I live for this kind of stuff, so I'm hitting the theater once it drops.

What an absolute disaster of a movie 😲 I honestly don't even have the words to describe how bad this was—all I can say is that by the end, I was just laughing my head off at the sheer absurdity.

The "highlight" of the film? That ridiculous scene where 😂Pete climbs all the way up to the top of the tornado.

Jokes aside, it might not be "great," but the movie itself is honestly kind of weak. It’s way below average, you know? Like, it’s one of those movies that’s just there to entertain you on a single watch and then it's gone—you aren't going to remember it or feel like revisiting it anytime soon. Okay, fine, that was sarcasm; you could actually watch it more than once because it's genuinely fun.

If I were being totally real, I’d give it a 3/10, but I’ll bump it up to a 4/10 just because those tornado scenes look absolutely killer and the shaky cam work is some of the best I've seen. You know how shaky cam can completely ruin a movie if they overdo it? Well, here it feels more like a steady hand than a shaky one, so they didn't go overboard with all the jittering.

It’s a bit underwhelming, I guess. It feels like maybe Armitage was just taking a breather after playing Thorin in the Hobbit! There isn't much here that we haven't already seen in Twister and similar movies. It might be okay for some light viewing, though.

Honestly, even though Twister is twenty years older, it still feels way more believable than Storm... It's a decent enough flick if you just want to zone out for a bit—there are some cool moments—but when it comes to actually being convincing? Zero points.

What does age even have to do with how believable a movie is? This film isn't hard to believe just because it came out in 2014; it’s hard to believe because it's just... fundamentally unbelievable. I mean, come on, there are plenty of movies from twenty years ago that feel totally unrealistic, right? Getting older doesn't automatically make a movie more convincing.

That being said, I'm totally with you—the lack of realism is a massive flaw. Honestly, the characters pull such ridiculous stunts that I found myself rolling my eyes more than a few times while watching.

But honestly, not everyone feels that way, which is kind of hilarious when you think about it because it feels like a total rule of thumb that those older movies just have this level of believability that the newer ones completely lack. Don't you feel like they just hit different?

Just to refresh your memory, we were actually diving into the whole question of believability here, right? I wasn't saying one is strictly better than the other, though let's be real—usually, those older flicks tend to hold up a bit better, don't they? But hey, it’s not like every single vintage movie is automatically superior to every modern release, is it? It really just depends on the craft!

This movie is terrible.

Twister still holds the number one spot for me.

And what part of that was unclear? Seriously... Twister just looks better and feels way more grounded than Storm. Plot-wise, they're basically playing the exact same stupid tune. I don't care about other movies from twenty years ago. Even with all the fancy modern CGI, Storm looks more plastic than something built on a Commodore 64.

Jacob and Deckard, look, let's just agree that this movie is pretty weak. Both the original and the remake have their highs and lows. I find it hard to be definitive, though, since I tend to change my mind quite often!
