Here is the situation: a friend of mine is planning to get breast implants, but during her initial ultrasound, the doctor spotted two cysts, both about 4mm in diameter. To be safe, a second doctor performed another ultrasound and followed it up with a mammogram just to rule out anything concerning. Fortunately, the mammogram came back completely clear. The radiologist essentially gave her the green light for the plastic surgery, stating there isn't an immediate risk, though they did schedule a follow-up scan in four months just to stay on top of things.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar? I am curious to know what you would do in this position. Would you proceed with the silicone implants now, or would you wait until after the follow-up appointment? She is quite anxious to move forward because she has already finalized all the arrangements with her surgeon.
She is 28 years old, by the way.

Oh, and she’s 28.

I honestly have no clue. Generally speaking, I’m not a huge proponent of implants, especially if a woman hasn't had children yet but plans to down the road. And if there were any signs of fibrocystic changes, I definitely wouldn't touch it.
