Unbelievable. I can't even get to my private messages while that guy is up there... I have to sit here and wait for all those damn little stars to stop flying around everywhere. It's beyond annoying.🙄🙄🙄

So, I’m kind of lost on what this is actually about since I don't see any ads on my end. Honestly, it's probably thanks to Adblock Plus—that Firefox extension that nukes basically every ad in sight. Seriously, if you're using Firefox, just grab it. Browsing feels totally different when you aren't being bombarded by useless junk.

Look, you could always just pay the site an annual or monthly membership fee. Help them out with some alternative funding, and then you'd probably get a version of the site without any ads at all☕

Honestly, I don't get it. Who is actually so incompetent that they can't just open Chrome, type a few keywords into a search engine, and find the answer to their own problem? If they want to complain about the lack of ads, they can just pay for a premium membership to use the Forum without them—especially since those ads are what fund the entire staff and keep this place running...☕

I'd really recommend using Facebook, then just heading over to the addons section—basically these links here:

Doing it this way lets you block ads pretty much everywhere (though maybe you might need another addon to help with the "everywhere" part), whether it's on this Forum, Facebook, or just browsing elsewhere.

You can probably set things up the same way for Opera, and likely for Chrome too.

I honestly find it hard to believe that in this day and age—with the entire internet at our fingertips—there are still people out there who don't realize you can wipe out those obnoxious advertisements using simple little programs or browser extensions. I mean, really? Is it that complicated? Personally, I just run Adblock Plus on Firefox and, quite frankly, I don't even know what an ad or a banner looks like anymore. They just don't exist in my world. There are even specific Flash blockers to deal with all that annoying Flash content that tends to clutter up your screen. It’s all right there. And the best part? These little tools actually have the ability to "learn." You can tell them exactly what to block and what to let through. Why wouldn't you take advantage of that?

It isn't even about how much time you spend; it's just plain broken! A high-quality website should be compatible with the default settings of any browser. If it isn't, then it's... (I'll spare you the colorful language)! And this is happening right over the Login form!! You can't even log in in peace...

You need to designate specific space for ads and banners (just like you do for Google Ads), and then nobody will be bothered! But if they overlap something—or worse, everything—it just infuriates people.
