I seem to be suffering from some sort of anemia... my complexion is incredibly pale, even during the height of the summer heat. Does anyone have advice on how I might regain at least a modicum of color in my face?
Just please, spare me the unsolicited lectures about iron supplements and drinking beet juice; I have already exhausted those avenues to no avail, and they yielded absolutely no results.

And then you might just reconsider, wouldn't you? 😕

Red meat and iron-packed veggies?

Leeks, green salad, spinach, kale, tomatoes (not sure about the exact iron content there, just listing what I eat), carrots, bell peppers, lentils, beans... I've been eating like this for about a year now, and I guess it's finally paying off because, for the first time ever, my iron levels are actually through the roof.

Leeks, green lettuce, spinach, kale, tomatoes (I am not entirely certain of the precise iron concentrations, I am merely listing them), carrots, bell peppers, lentils, beans... this has been my dietary regimen for the past year, and for the first time in my life, my iron levels have actually surged.

Much appreciated... best regards.

What kind of anemia are we talking about, and what did your recent lab results show?

If you honestly think being pale is the only sign of anemia, then you’re pretty much barking up the wrong tree.
I mean, I’m naturally pale too, and it's not even like I have a fair complexion—I'm just genuinely washed out. My face never really flushes or anything, like, ever.
Plus, I deal with heavy periods, so I went ahead and got my bloodwork done just to be safe, and everything actually came back totally fine.

Just please don't tell me to take iron supplements or drink beet juice—I've already tried all that crap and it didn't do a damn thing for me.

Honestly, just load up on more veggies and you'll be golden.
