So, I just noticed this tiny little swelling, like a small bruise or lump, under my left ribs today... honestly, I'm a bit freaked out right now. I'm 18, I don't have any underlying health issues, and nothing hurts—I just happened to feel it while touching my side today. Please, someone help me out 😢

I’m no expert here—but it might just be a swollen lymph node. I have one in my neck myself... it doesn't hurt at all, and when I asked my doctor about it during a checkup, she said it was most likely just a lymph node and nothing to worry about. From what I remember from biology class... those nodes basically "trap" bacteria and viruses to keep you from getting sick. And if memory serves, they’re most concentrated in the neck, armpits, groin, and chest area...
So, it could probably be that... don't quote me on this, I just want to help.

What does the swelling actually look like? Is it red or inflamed? And when you touch it, is it soft to the touch or does it feel hard? Also, does it hurt when you press on it? Most importantly, are you having any trouble breathing or anything like that?

It doesn't hurt, no breathing problems, and it isn't red. As for the texture, I don't know. It used to be soft, now it feels harder...

It might just be a lipoma—you know, one of those harmless little lumps of fat that’s the same color as your skin, soft to the touch, and doesn't really hurt. If it isn't inflamed (meaning it’s not red or painful), most doctors won't even bother touching it. But honestly, I'm just guessing based on how you described it. Maybe you should go see a GP just to be safe?
