I check out my own every single day. ☕
And let's be real, lesbians don't exactly have much more than nipples to show off. 🙂

They really do. Their new tracks are solid. 🙂

Last night's concert was solid. Live rock music always hits different. Of course, those preppy types from the local country club absolutely crushed it like they always do, and I honestly feel bad that my crowd chose to head to some trendy lounge instead of sticking with rock.

Since we’re talking about "trends" and my supposed "prejudices" from my first post, Peter and I were walking home after the show. In the dark near the venue, this figure starts approaching us—just a silhouette, really. The guy looked like a tiny little dude sitting on stools; his legs looked thinner than mine did after two years of rationing during the war. I turned to Peter and said, "Check out this guy, he looks like he belongs at one of those hipster clubs," when suddenly, about five feet away, this guy who looked like he stepped straight out of a 🙏
grunge band with massive rave mustaches, a weird haircut, and a leather jacket comes barreling toward us.

Thanks for the kind words. 🙂

In the USA, flashy gimmicks always win out—that's just how it's been since Ben M's era. 🙏
Paying someone just to play your CD? Even Columbus wouldn't charge you for that. 🤣

And yeah, regarding Matches 🙏 I love them when they’re edgy and angry. That's the whole point. 👍

Everyone laughed at me a few concerts ago when I suggested these Matchsticks might actually go somewhere... well, yesterday they proved me right. They were absolutely killer. If I had to nitpick, maybe a few less slow songs (damn 😳), some tracks could’ve been shorter, and the drummer 🙈 probably should have kept her mouth shut between songs 😁. Still, it was great—at times, truly incredible. It gave me vibes of Sleater-Kinney, Paraf, and all that good stuff. My only fear is that they’ll "mature" and mellow out; if they lose that punk edge in favor of some overly earnest, female-empowerment balladry, they might wander into Meritas territory... let's hope they don't. I wanted to grab a CD, but for some reason, I didn't. Probably just wasn't ready for an awkward chat with the girls 😁

Honestly, I only have one friend even remotely like that, and even he doesn't quite fit the description.

Besides, I would much rather have been at this event than stuck at that yacht party. 🙄

You guys actually caught me off guard. I don't know what happened with Toljag, but last night he was totally in the zone—steady hand, perfect timing, the whole deal. He’s a pro, for sure. Even when he messes up, it just feels part of his persona, especially with the glasses and the hair. Haha

Regarding the matches, I've already made my stance clear. They went from being one of the worst bands on the planet to a pretty solid group in just a few months. If they could just tighten things up a bit, shorten the songs, and make them punchier... maybe some tougher women on stage, like a Joan Jett vibe, would be cool too.

The results totally caught me off guard. That shift was massive. 😁 One of them is definitely toast. And yeah, Sleater-Kinney was the other thing. 🙂
ACME Corp did great. I was actually surprised by how much Columbo missed the mark. You guys really tightened up the process; you're basically a rock machine now. 😁 (honestly) Sit down, 5 😁
But man, once I drop my final comment and everyone else chimes in... 😢
Foko was that friend of yours with the hyperactive vibe, wearing those baggy pants and sporting the mustache. He was a total trip.

killer set tonight🙂 honestly sounded way better than expected since the promoters at Live Nation did them zero favors😲 huge shoutout to the guitarist, that tone was absolutely killer🙂
had to call out the drummer though, those flashy little solos probably chased away about 68% of the crowd
ACME Corp is usually solid, but once they find themselves a permanent bassist they’re gonna be unstoppable

I mean, if ACME Corp actually goes out and hires a bassist, then Colombo is going to have to step up, and at that point, it just isn't ACME Corp anymore. 😢

Maybe they should just go out and hire a bassist who actually knows how to sit still 🤔

It gave off vibes of Sleater-Kinney, Paraíso, and plenty of other good stuff. My only hope is that they don't "mature" too much and lose their edge; if they trade that punk energy for overly polished singer-songwriter vibes, they might drift into territory that just doesn't work for them. Let's hope they stay true to themselves. I actually wanted to grab some merch, but I chickened out—I guess I was just a bit intimidated talking to the ladies 😁
.

Am I really the only one who thinks that band is mediocre? Look, I get it, they're women playing music and giving it their all, but honestly, there was way too much aimless wandering on stage. You're either rock and roll or you aren't. Forget that Sleater-Kinney comparison
. ACME Corp was solid as usual

Hmm. I didn't catch them on the remastered version, I guess. What I did hear on Spotify a few months back—some new track—was actually pretty solid. Me and David were hanging out in the hallway outside the studio, arguing about how there was no way that sound was just synthesized. When 😲

And honestly, I wouldn't expect you to be all about that sloppy versus rock 'n' roll debate. You've been listening to that real rock stuff for ages, haven't you?

The issue isn't about hitting the deadline; it's about how sloppy you look on stage. Look, man, play whatever you want, just don't stand there looking like a wet rag who couldn't care less about the music. But hey, what do I know? 🤷Maybe I'm wrong

Honestly, that blonde looks like she couldn't care less about being there, 🤷 and the drummer looks like she’s just waiting for someone to stop telling jokes so she can get on with it... 🙈
