Combichrist Live at Aquarius, Washington, D.C. - March 27, 2009

So, I was just sitting here on my balcony, watching the whole thing unfold. Honestly? The little side shows were a bit flat for me. The AP crew definitely brought more variety and actual brains to the table, but even so, the whole thing was a top-tier event. Super professional, flawlessly executed—everything was dialed in at a high level.

Just a massive crowd of people vibing, a pretty solid group of attendees, a chill atmosphere... basically, the whole mood was just undeniably positive.

Shoutout to that old-school girl with the tattoos🙂, I hope you dig the button.

The concert was absolutely incredible, though everything went completely downhill when I realized someone had actually set my camera on fire. I had all those videos and photos from the show saved right there.
I'm honestly pretty bummed they didn't play Sen to destry or Deathbed.

An old-school enthusiast told me she was actually pretty stoked about how much they represented the classics, and she’ll be wearing the badge with pride. As for the tattoo situation, check your inbox 🥳

I honestly regret missing out on Blue Royale and Electrohead. Even though I’ve heard just about everything through various channels, my experience at Aquarius felt much more intimate than what the actual vibe turned out to be. What a total letdown near the stadium.

I’m looking over the setlist right now and it says they didn't play Electrohead, but I could swear that was that exact track from Blue Royale ringing in my ears—it had such a great resonance to it.
Am I just tripping or what? (I see there's a question mark sitting there, just in case)

Yeah, they played Electrohead. But there was this one song that I’m pretty sure was my first time ever hearing it back then—probably "Nature," if I recall correctly.

It’s a bit of a shame they didn't play "Sen to destry" or some of those other heavy hitters...

But, judging by how the crowd reacted, I guess there might be a chance for them to make up for it down the road... 🙂

Well, you certainly pulled that one off; the promotion was absolutely electric—it felt like a full-blown takeover. We might actually have to pull something similar again soon... maybe a DAF tribute? 😬
Or perhaps a massive gothic festival like this lovely lady 🙂 mentioned. Judging by how this concert went, I’d say we’re more than ready for something on that scale 🙂
