Slang from the old country

Alright, let’s play a game. Throw out some old-school slang from the old days. It doesn't even have to be strictly regional; just something that used to be standard back then but feels totally outdated now. Nobody ever bothered to argue over whether it was an Americanism or just how people talked—it was just the way things were said.
It actually cracks me up whenever my grandparents drop one of those vintage terms; it's like a sudden, blunt reminder of how much everything has shifted since they were young. 🤣

Since I’m right at the start of Gen Y, my vocabulary isn't exactly overflowing with these relics...
