How long does mail take to arrive in America?

I'm planning on sending a girl a birthday card through the mail, so I'm trying to figure out how long it'll actually take to get to her. She's over in Maui, and I'm here in Chicago...

Obviously, I’d prefer it if it actually arrived on her actual birthday. 😁

Whether you're dealing with workaholics or just people looking for an excuse to grab a beer while they're on the clock... honestly, it just depends on the local post office. Some folks sprint to get things out immediately, others wait until they've got a full stack. Even when it hits Maui, it really comes down to whether your mail carrier actually gives a damn about their job...

Basically, don't hold your breath thinking you'll nail the timing within a single day.

I once sent a letter and a greeting card to the exact same address, even though they were coming from totally different parts of the country... the card showed up in just a day or two, but the letter took about a week to arrive 🤣

Just send it her way! Once it arrives, I know she's going to love it 😉

Whenever I send a letter or a package somewhere within the States, it usually shows up within a day or two.

Mostly just looking at a seven-day window

It took about 12 days for my letter from AT&T to actually show up. Kind of a bummer, I guess.
