The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2008)

Has anyone else had a chance to check out this movie yet? I actually thought it was pretty great, even if the plot and the acting weren't anything to write home about, mostly because there's just so much Hell and some really hilarious moments scattered throughout.

I watched the trailer, and seeing that much blood... what a disaster. Some people find it funny. Well, I don't.

It’s giving me major Planet Terror vibes. Except, you know, instead of the woman having a gun grafted to her leg, she’s got it attached to her arm.

Lol... only Americans could pull off a crazy flick like this—just pure, bloody chaos. It’s a low-budget horror actioner about a girl with a minigun for an arm seeking revenge for her brother by hacking through villains in the most gruesome ways possible. It’s got everything: flying guillotines, a drill bra, katanas, ninjas, shurikens, and guts everywhere. Honestly, the whole thing looks pretty ridiculous in a fun, cartoonish way. If you’ve ever watched a gritty anime like "Ninja Scroll" or "Afro Samurai" where limbs are constantly flying off, you basically know what to expect here... just live-action. Some of the action actually looks decent, though the characters are goofy, funny, or even annoying, which makes watching them die violently strangely satisfying.
Obviously, this isn't for everyone. Not everybody is going to appreciate the dark humor or laugh at the carnage. If you don't have a stomach for this kind of madness, just skip it.

It isn't even Hell like some people claim; it’s more cartoonish—you know, when someone gets their arm sliced off and blood just sprays everywhere in a huge jet. Planet Terror meets Kill Bill, >, is basically a dream come true for any fan of extreme gore who loves badass women on a bloody path of vengeance. It’s a movie made purely for the hell of it. I haven't seen 👍 actual Hell... 🤔not since I can remember.
(Of course, if you're expecting a serious film with a real plot and well-developed characters, you're going to be bitterly disappointed. But hey, if that's what you want, go watch > or something similar 😂)

The only thing that sucked was watching a poorly dubbed version by (who else?) Americans 🙄. I really hate it when films in Japanese, Finnish, Portuguese, etc., are dubbed 😠

In my opinion, this movie is absolute gold; if you dig Shoot 'em up or Crank, you'll find this to be top-tier chaos 👍

Kudos to the film, I absolutely loved it! It’s the perfect mindless watch if you just want to switch off your brain and have a laugh.

By the way, "that" bra was totally unexpected! 😂 🤣 🙏

I gotta say, this is easily one of the best movies I've ever laid eyes on. My God, there are so many killer moments tucked away in "The Marvel Girl"...

It honestly felt a bit like that first time I watched "Evil Dead"—well, almost, since "ED" is pretty much untouchable...

Anyway, it's a solid 10 for me.
