Capsule endoscopy: What are your experiences?

I might be totally reinventing the wheel here and posting something that’s already been discussed on the forum, but I honestly just can't be bothered to dig through all the old threads right now.
So, just a quick one...

Does anyone happen to know where I can get an capsule endoscopy done here in NYC??!!
Which hospital handles them, and does insurance usually cover the cost?

Also, if anyone knows of a good private clinic—and maybe what kind of damage I'm looking at price-wise—let me know! Basically...
I'd love to hear whatever you guys know!!!!!

So, basically, the docs told her she’s got Crohn's... but they also mentioned there might be something else going on in her small intestine, so she really needs to get checked out right away...
They’re saying the best way to handle it is with one of those endo capsules—you know, that tiny little camera you swallow that records everything? Man, it is insanely expensive down here by the coast because some pathetic private specialist has a total monopoly and just jacks up the prices... we're talking like $1,300 for a tiny camera that’ll probably just end up getting flushed down the toilet. /Pardon my language there... I'm just super frustrated, and honestly, I can't stand doctors sometimes/...

I heard that they actually have this tech available in NYC, but I can't find a single lead on Google regarding where specifically... and is this really the best way to hunt for that kind of info???

So, anyone? Help me out??

Forget about it. That kind of thing is still pure science fiction here in the States. And even if someone managed to find it somewhere in the country (which I highly doubt), I imagine it would cost an absolute fortune.
That’s exactly why we’re stuck dealing with such painful diagnostic procedures. Apparently, the more discomfort and agony involved, the better it is for our doctors. 🙄
