I have been using Internet Explorer 7 without any issues until now. However, starting today, my emoticons and all other text formatting commands have suddenly stopped working.

I tested this in another browser (Opera), and everything functions perfectly there.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

What gives?

Looks like you answered your own question! If Opera is running smooth, then IE is just being its usual broken self.

Cache. I can't even get them to work if my cache is full in MF.

What do you mean, Google? 😕

Just clear your cookies and give it another shot.

......I don't even know how to put this into words, but my emoticons are acting totally wonky... sometimes a link just stays stuck there, and other times I end up with some random one I didn't even pick... like, instead of the jumping ones, I'll get one that's just hanging there...? It’s not like it’s the end of the world or anything, but I'd love to actually know what's going on... and honestly, the most annoying part is having to click the link just to see what emoji actually showed up... wtf? Can anyone help me out? thx
It's those emoticons from Cosgan's smilie...

But the colors just aren't working at all, you know? Like, if I wanted to actually change the color of my signature, it just wouldn't let me!

It’s much like setting up a template in a word processor; just format your signature in the quick reply box first, highlight the whole thing, and then paste it into the actual signature settings. It’s a simple workaround, but it gets the job done perfectly. 😉

Same thing happening here—colors show up fine in the quick reply box, but they just won't work when I try to use the full editor...

The emoticons aren't showing up for me either, and I can't get the bold text to work... basically everything mentioned in the title. I'm using Firefox. I already tried clearing my cache and cookies, but no luck. Help!!

Maybe try opening it in Internet Explorer just to see if the issue persists there.

Hey everyone, why is this IE being so slow? It works fine here, but it just won't cooperate in Firefox. 😢😢
I already disabled NoScript and Adblock Plus... Any other ideas on what might be causing this?

It's running smoothly now. Huh...

So, is it working for you now? Usually, once you’ve cleared out the cookies and the cache, you have to give Firefox a full restart—completely shut it down and then fire it back up again.🙂

It’s still happening. And yeah, I’ve restarted Mozilla more times than I can count. This has been bugging me all week. Honestly, the only thing I haven't tried yet is rebooting IEa. I've tried pretty much everything else.
