It’s got sugar in it and I’m just keeping it at room temperature. How long can this stuff actually sit around before it goes bad? Give me a number of days.

hey, can i just ask—why would you even bother standing there?
maybe there's another way to handle this... one where you don't have to stay put at all. 😕

It really all comes down to what you're holding onto and whether or not it actually lines up. 😬

Is it actually true that adding sugar—to something like green tea, for instance—negatively impacts its health benefits?

Honestly, just toss it in a thermos if you aren't planning on drinking it right away... easy, right?

If we’re strictly talking about green, white, or black tea—since those are the only true teas in the US—then fruit and herbal blends aren't actually teas at all, they're just infusions, which means such a mixture loses its inherent value.
Most of the beneficial properties found in green tea come from polyphenols, which unfortunately oxidize into catechols once they're exposed to the air. Therefore, you should seal the container as quickly as possible and ideally add a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent that oxidation process.

and make sure to drink it immediately, because it will eventually turn bitter due to the tannins.
