What's an ideal weight?

A range of 175 to 210 pounds is roughly where BMI stays within the normal bracket. While 165 pounds is technically normal, I suspect that would be too thin for your height. In my view, 185 to 195 pounds would be the sweet spot.

It really all comes down to your body composition.
If you look at those online BMI calculators, they’ll tell you anywhere from 158 to 209 lbs. But honestly, I don't trust those numbers all that much... I know two people who have the exact same stats—same height, same weight—but one looks lean, almost skinny, while the other has a bit more of a soft, stocky build according to the BMI scale.

What’s your current weight?
When people claim they weigh 220 or 240, they're usually talking about massive builds with low body fat.

Honestly, BMI is pretty much useless if you're a bodybuilder or just tall as hell.
By those numbers, my boyfriend—who’s 6'5" and about 240 lbs—is pushing a BMI of 30, but he's nowhere near being overweight.

By those standards, my boyfriend—who stands 6'5" and weighs about 240 lbs—is right on the edge of a BMI of 30, yet he’s anything but fat.
To be fair, there used to be specific calculators tailored for men and women separately, though I can't seem to track them down online anymore.🙄
