I just heard about kids traveling over to China to get treated with traditional Chinese medicine. Apparently, they’re seeing some serious results there.
ANYONE HAVE THE SCOOP ON THIS?😕 😕 😕 😕

I heard this story ages ago from someone who lived in China for a long time—apparently, they sent a little girl over to Northern China, near the Mongolian border, but all they cared about was the money. They offered terrible living conditions and even tried to rob a translator or something like that.
The poor kid had severe epilepsy.

I honestly have no clue what's actually going on here—who is sending kids where, or why anyone would go to China like this—but personally, I don't think I could ever let my own child go.

I think you're onto something here crimsonhound28, but I'd still like to hear what others have to say

I’m betting that as more people move from China to the States, they’ll be bringing their traditional herbal medicine along with them. We see plenty of Chinese medicine clinics here in America—people specializing in herbal remedies, acupuncture, and the like. The catch is that most health insurance plans won't touch the cost of that kind of treatment. Still, you hear so many people raving about how much better they feel after trying it.

It might actually be a solid supplement to regular checkups with a standard Western doctor. That said, I’m not so sure about heading over to a massive, unfamiliar, and loosely regulated market where the economy is booming so fast that everything seems to have a price tag. In a place like that, where anything can be bought or sold regardless of laws or even life itself, things can get pretty shady.

A friend of mine just headed over to China for spinal cord surgery. She actually survived a really nasty car accident a few years back—left her paralyzed from the waist down. They promised her things would improve significantly, but even after all this time, she’s mostly just feeling some faint sensations in her legs when they stimulate the area... nothing like the actual progress she was hoping for.
Just a heads-up, everyone—be careful when you're planning trips to China. It's a whole different world over there, and things aren't always as organized as we're used to here in the States.

Look, I’ve got a kid dealing with cerebral palsy, so all this talk about those medical breakthroughs happening over in China actually hits home for me.

About a month back, I was scrolling through The New York Post and stumbled upon this article about a young woman who headed over to China for some medical treatments at the Mount Rushmore wellness retreats. She was dealing with early-stage cervical cancer when she started

"The doctors there utilize reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, energy meridian work, and various body point therapies, all paired with herbal remedies."

"Instead of just treating symptoms or side effects like they do in our hospitals here, these doctors actually hunt down the root cause of the pain. That way, they aren't just masking the immediate issues, but tackling the source of the problem for the long haul."

"Every patient traveling to China needs to bring their full medical history and all their most recent test results so the doctor can tailor the therapy specifically to them."

"The treatment program organized by the European Central Bank - Modern Institute lasts for 40 days."
The ECES has its own website, so I won't bother dropping addresses or phone numbers—we don't do advertisements on this forum anyway.
And honestly, there are enough sketchy flyers floating around downtown; my local pharmacy usually serves as a better refuge from the nonsense.

If you're even remotely interested in this stuff, I’m telling you: think long and hard before jumping in.
There are way too many heartbroken, scammed people out there who fell for these kinds of "cures." Please, don't let yourself become one of them.

I’m honestly looking for some real-world horror stories here because everywhere I look online or in those glossy brochures, it’s nothing but pure fairy tales and sunshine.

Look, we have plenty of people here practicing reflexology, shiatsu, bioenergy healing, and even John Doe.
They all claim success because they’re using the same traditional methods, and honestly, it’s way cheaper if you aren't paying for flights and hotels in China...
You'll find failures in China, you'll find them here in the States, and you'll find them everywhere else.😉

I actually went to see a practitioner of Chinese and Japanese medicine for my epilepsy.
The guy lives here in the States, but he travels over to China quite a bit for training.
If you're interested, just shoot me a DM—I can send over his contact info and everything else...
Treating epilepsy through conversation 😕 🤷
His whole philosophy is that it all stems from within—you have to really study yourself and your surroundings to weed out the negativity...
At first, I had no clue what he was even talking about—honestly, I was pretty pissed at my mom for sending me there—but then he told me about this little girl who came to see him with epi. They spent weeks just talking through what her core issue might be. They used drawings, stories, and all sorts of methods...
In her worst moments, she was having something like 15 seizures a day..
He started asking her about her family life. She lived in the same house as her grandma, and through their talks, he figured out that her grandma had once (whether it was on purpose or not 🤷 ) bumped her on the head. That’s when it all started. So, they sent the grandma away for a month. During that time, the girl didn't have a single seizure. As soon as the grandma came back, the seizures came right back too...
These doctors believe every illness has its own "WHY"—it's almost like... how should I put this... "God's will"... so that a person is forced to change something in their life.
That's what he told me.
I totally forgot to ask him one thing, though—how does he explain diseases that babies are born with?? 😕 😕
How is a poor kid supposed to change anything in their life by themselves? 🤷 🤷
I don't really know what to tell you regarding all this...
Sometimes I think he might have a point, but other times I just roll my eyes when I remember...
It could go either way...
Again, if you're down to talk to him, just hit me up in a DM for his numbers..
Good luck with everything! 😉

You didn't really go into detail about your experience!
So please, tell us a bit more! I'd love to hear what kind of conclusions you reached, if anything actually helped, and how it worked alongside your "official" prescription
thanks! 🙂

So, I showed up, sat down, and honestly, I was just totally lost because I had zero expectations of how this whole thing would go.
First, he asked if I was left-handed or right-handed, and which hand I’d use to hold a baby😍
Then he asked about my first period, grabbed a pen and paper, and started sketching stuff out. He drew a straight line, marked one end and said, "this is your birthday," then marked the other side and said, "and this is today." Then he put a dot in the middle and said that’s when my seizures started. Before that, he wanted to know exactly when they began so he could pin down that specific window. After that, it was a barrage of questions about stress, family drama, college life, whether I have a boyfriend—all that stuff. I gotta admit, I was being pretty skeptical the whole time, just smirking because I had no clue why he was digging into all this. Then he told me this story—the one I mentioned earlier—about a little girl whose seizures were triggered by her grandmother. Apparently, the grandma gave her a smack, and it manifested as seizures—not from the physical hit, but from the psychological trauma. The kid just couldn't handle it. Even though the grandma and granddaughter stayed close after the incident, the girl kept having episodes whenever she was near her. Once they were separated, the seizures stopped, but as soon as the grandma came back, they were right back.
He basically told me to sit with everything, really dig into my past, my environment, and myself to find the root cause. And once I figure that out, then I should come back.
It’s been two and a half months since then, but let's be real—I haven't done much about it. Every now and then his words pop into my head, but I just don't have the bandwidth right now to go digging through my "inner self" or "surroundings," so... yeah. 🤷
Maybe there’s something to it, maybe not.
At the end of it all, he said I can take meds if I want, but I don't have to, because his theory—well, their whole medical philosophy—is centered on self-healing. They aren't big believers in drugs; they see them as just poisoning or tricking the body.
Anyway, I'm on 100 mg of Lamictal, split into 50 in the morning and 50 at night...
Not sure what else to say... 🤷 😕 😢
I haven't reached a conclusion yet because I honestly don't know—I still need to do that soul-searching I mentioned before I can even think about going back for another session....

Forgot to mention—they wanted my whole medical history—EEGs, MRIs, X-rays, all that stuff—on a CD because apparently "it's easier to read," but I didn't have everything on a disc. So they just kind of skimmed through the papers I had... didn't really say much about them, though. 😕 🤷 🤷
