Have you actually seen a doctor yet? Also, is your blood pressure running low?

That’s exactly how it hits me right before a nasty cold or the flu kicks in... I just feel totally drained for about a week, like I'm running on empty, and then—bam—it finally catches up to me.

Maybe you've got some kind of infection just lurking under the surface, and it's finally starting to make its move.

Honestly, I was feeling just as crappy for about three or four days until everything hit me all at once two days ago. It was brutal—constant vomiting, splitting headaches, a fever, and my whole body just aching... it felt exactly like a heavy dose of the flu. I’m finally starting to feel a little more human today, though, like I've actually crawled back to the land of the living. Apparently, Taylor Swift says there's some kind of nasty virus going around right now.

Actually, yeah—I have low blood pressure too. 😢

What’s your doctor actually telling you about it? Like, what's their take on the low BP being the culprit?😕

maybe you've got some underlying infection just hanging out in there, finally starting to show its face now.

For me, it drags on for maybe two or three weeks... and those brain fog moments, too.

It might even be some kind of virus or a bacterial infection just totally draining your battery.

Yeah, they told me it might just be my blood pressure acting up. But honestly—it’s not like my pressure stays low all the time; there are days when it’s perfectly normal, which is why I find this whole thing so strange...
I’m feeling that same level of exhaustion—it's honestly a bit much. I can't quite put my finger on why...

Nausea and feeling totally wiped out
+ a bit of a low-grade fever

What’s actually worth eating when you're dealing with this kind of stuff?

Do boiled eggs count?

I wouldn't say that. You can certainly have some burnt toast, crackers, or dry toast. The key isn't to starve yourself, but you shouldn't overdo it either—overeating will only make the nausea worse. Think of it like fueling a small engine: eat frequently, but stick to small, manageable portions. For fluids, tea with little to no sugar works wonders; chamomile or peppermint are particularly good for soothing the stomach. Also, make sure you stay hydrated to avoid dehydration. And a quick tip: sniffing some lemon or orange can really help settle things down. 🙂

Hope you don't mind me starting a new thread here.

I've been feeling like garbage for three days straight. The night before last, I suddenly hit this wall of dizziness—I couldn't even focus on a conversation without getting totally wiped out and spinning more. Honestly, the only thing that helped was closing my eyes in a quiet, dimly lit room. My blood pressure check came back normal, but then a few minutes later, my arms and legs just felt heavy and weak.

The second day was just pure exhaustion and weakness.
Yesterday I finally got blood work done, and guess what? EVERYTHING is fine. Which is actually depressing because I was really hoping it was just an iron deficiency...

Just a bit of context: I’m breastfeeding a 6-month-old, and the night before last, I had my first period since being pregnant.
My doctor says it's just a massive hormonal shift and tells me to drink more water... but what do you guys think? How long does this phase actually last? Today is day four.

If I'm actually missing something essential, wouldn't that show up in my blood work? Does that mean vitamins won't even help, or am I wrong??

THANKS for any input 😘

Symptoms: I’ve been experiencing this general sense of weakness that tends to come in waves,
it seems to hit more frequently right after I wake up or just before my period starts,
occasionally accompanied by hot flashes or sudden bouts of sweating,
nausea, some lightheadedness, a feeling of instability, and a sort of vague, undefined pressure around my chest area. These episodes can last about thirty minutes, though they sometimes linger or recur throughout the day.

Age and gender: 35, female
Low blood pressure, likely some mild anemia, weight is stable, my EKG came back normal, and I tend to be more emotionally sensitive...

So, I have these bouts of weakness that are difficult to pin down precisely.
I gave birth a little over a year ago and I'm still breastfeeding occasionally, though I was doing that even before the pregnancy—perhaps just less frequently back then.
I smoke about two cigarettes a day.
To be honest, there are times when the smoking really bothers me; it doesn't sit right, especially during those moments when I'm feeling particularly "weak."

I was considering running some hormone panels on my own first, and then following up with my OB-GYN later. ...I won't go into the reasons why.

What kind of testing would you recommend?

The basics, obviously, but ideally including the pituitary gland, adrenal glands, sex hormones, and thyroid function... or whatever else you think might be necessary.

Thanks
