Ovarian ultrasound: what day of my cycle should I schedule it?

When is actually the best time to get an ovarian ultrasound done? I’ve been dealing with PCOS, and my endocrinologist is demanding some paperwork to get a clear look at the "situation." Does it matter which day of the month I schedule this for??
