Ayurveda: Can it actually cure Lou Gehrig's disease?

Hello.
A close friend of mine is battling this disease, and frankly, the prognosis she’s receiving from her doctors here in the States is nothing short of grim.
I’ve been looking into Ayurveda lately, and since I don't know the first thing about the intricacies of that practice, I wanted to see if anyone here has actually dealt with Ayurvedic methods or has experience managing this specific condition.

When you look at Ayurveda, it really falls under the umbrella of CAM—you know, Complementary and Alternative Medicine—and just like any other option people might pick for their wellness journey, it’s all about what works for the individual. To me, it feels very much like how we approach things like Reflexology, Aromatherapy, or Homeopathy; none of these are claiming to be a magic wand that provides a total cure, but rather they act more like a way to support your overall well-being and really lift your quality of life. It’s kind of like adding extra nutrients to a diet or taking a scenic route to clear your head—it enhances the experience of being healthy. I truly believe every CAM practice has its own unique value and merit, but I would never suggest they can "fix" a condition entirely (which is something we were always very clear about from the start when training as a qualified Reflexologist).
