I’ve been dealing with some rather strange symptoms lately... To put it plainly, my vision gets blurry, and I occasionally find myself vomiting out of nowhere—not because I'm trying to, but just because my body decides it's done with whatever I ate earlier. On top of that, I’ve been running a slight fever of about 100°F every couple of days, the dark circles under my eyes are massive, and I just feel generally unwell. I’m getting at least eight hours of sleep, haven't touched a drop of alcohol in a month, I drink at least two liters of water a day, I try to stick to a healthy diet, and I'm not even under much stress... This has been going on for about two months now.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening??!

I also seem to have a low-grade fever of about 100 degrees every couple of days, plus huge dark circles under my eyes. I just feel totally run down. I’m sleeping at least 8 hours, haven't touched alcohol in a month, drink at least 2 liters of water daily, try to eat healthy, and I'm not even stressed... This has been going on for about 2 months.

What could it be??!

Maybe pregnant?? Or if not, maybe a virus

😲😱 Go see a doctor right now!!!!

Good grief, I honestly cannot wrap my head around some people no matter how hard I try.🙄

You endure something for two months, it doesn't clear up after two months, and then you show up on a forum expecting us to tell you everything is fine...

Look, if something is actually wrong, you have to ask a doctor.

I know it probably sounds a bit silly, but I have this irrational fear of doctors... though, if I’m being honest, I think I’m even more terrified of the grim diagnoses they hand out... 😳

Look, black or white, you've already got your hand on the cards... just try thinking that way for a second. You need to pull yourself up, look at this problem rationally, and actually start SOLVING it, because it isn't going to fix itself. Taking charge like that is what being mature and responsible looks like—not just for your own sake, but for the people who mean absolutely everything to you.
Look, you aren't the only one feeling this anxiety, so stop isolating yourself. Grab a friend or someone you trust to walk through this with you—having that support system makes a world of difference. Just start tackling the issue head-on. I guarantee you’ll feel an immediate sense of relief once you stop stalling. Don't sit around waiting for things to spiral out of control. If you're worried about something "dark" lurking under the surface, it’s always better to shine a light on it immediately rather than letting it fester. Personally, I don't think you're dealing with anything sinister; it sounds more like you've been fighting a lingering inflammation for two months now. But let's be clear: there's a massive gap between my gut feelings and what your actual lab results will show. Get those blood tests done, get the facts, and then come back here so we can actually talk about the reality of the situation.
Stay brave and get in the fight. 😘

Just got my bloodwork back... everything seems fine except for the iron levels—it’s sitting at 5.5, which is incredibly low. And my TBC is also way up there. Any thoughts on this?

With sideropenic anemia, it is essential to investigate and rule out any underlying causes—essentially looking for secondary anemia—while simultaneously managing it through iron supplementation, regardless of the root cause.

I’ve never really heard about anemia being linked to vomiting and constant nausea... That’s exactly what I’ve been dealing with lately. I was browsing some health articles on WebMD and found a general piece on hepatitis, and honestly, every single one of my symptoms matches up—even the stuff involving TBC. Is that even possible? 😲

Low iron levels often point toward anemia, though as I mentioned earlier, anemia isn't always the root cause; it can frequently be a symptom of an underlying issue
In your first post, you mentioned vomiting "out of nowhere." Does that mean there’s no nausea beforehand? Is the vomiting triggered by physical exertion, or does the stomach contents just come up on its own?

I just eat, and then, within a few minutes, everything feels normal again. No straining, no nausea... Just ease. And if I’ve been feeling nauseous all day, she’s actually my saving grace. :-)

Didn't the doctor who examined you refer you to a neurologist?

It might not even be the Yasmine. When I was taking Stediril, the instructions actually warned about blurred vision, and it happened to me a few times—the first time was after seven months of use (right when those first side effects kicked in), and it lasted about ten minutes. On the flip side, a friend of mine used Triqular and ended up feeling nauseous every single month she took them...

As for the iron deficiency, I dealt with that before. Usually, my vision would just go dark for a second. There are some really solid supplements out there—one company actually sponsors the US Olympic Committee—but you have to be careful with things like chewable iron or those vitamin gummies from brands like Flintstones; they're 😬 and you shouldn't take more than three a day. 😢

Prescription iron, Vitamin C, and the usual suspects—beetroot, blackberries, maybe some blackberry wine... if you're lucky.😁
