Good day,

I wish to express my profound astonishment regarding the fact that my access to this Reddit community has been restricted for seven days due to an alleged insult toward another user. Since I am unable to review the specific entry in question, I will clarify that it involved labeling a foul fascist as a foul fascist, and a pathetic racist as a pathetic racist. Such descriptors were merely a direct reaction to the fascist and racist outbursts of said individual, who, quite remarkably, has faced no repercussions despite repeatedly insulting everyone participating in the "Global Affairs" sub-forum and openly characterizing a third of the world's population as "sub-civilized scavengers." In essence, I was simply diagnosing the political consciousness of a fellow user rather than engaging in what is being termed "harsh insults toward members," a behavior for which I am certainly not known.

Given my prior understanding that the super-moderator responsible for my ban is guided more by rigid discipline than by actual intelligence or sound judgment, I would kindly request that an administrator explain the criteria used here and why they have been applied so selectively.

Look, I’m not trying to be funny here, but basically, it’s just calling a stinking fascist a stinking fascist, and a pathetic racist a pathetic racist 👍 🤣

Can you drop the link? I'd rather not spend my entire day digging through Reddit. It would be a huge help if people actually made it a habit to include links when referencing something on here. Fine, here is the link...

Honestly, this penalty is way over the top. If it were up to me, I’d just issue a serious warning that this kind of debate isn't allowed. cosmicskipper55 isn't the type of user to go around insulting people or causing trouble. I'm going to try to get this penalty overturned as soon as possible.

I honestly think the penalty is way too harsh. Personally, I’d just give them a serious warning about how we handle discussions here. I'm gonna try to get this overturned ASAP.

That post isn't showing up—looks like it was deleted. If you can still see it, just drop the link here.

Problematic posts deleted.

cosmicskipper55, you mindless troll. What you’re whining about isn't an issue of food industry efficiency. The real problem is that roughly a third of the planet is filled with sub-civilized, lazy laborers who can't even feed themselves. It’s ironic—you and people like you have a food industry identical to the one your friends here are defending. The fact that there are shortages in the West just proves that industrial food systems are actually superior at feeding massive populations compared to your prehistoric methods. You basically scored an own goal here.

cosmicskipper55: As usual, you base your entire argument on biases created in the most ill-informed society in the West. You have no clue. Not a single fact in your mouth. And on top of that, just as I thought, you're a stinking racist and a fascist freak. Do me a favor and stop responding to my posts; talking to someone like you is beneath me.

My point is that mistakes happen, obviously. Appeals aren't just a vent for people to scream insults at whoever handed down the sentence; they exist because things can be corrected if an error is found. I would definitely appeal for those complaining that the penalties are being set in stone or extended indefinitely (Drito).

If you ask me—not that my opinion matters much—deleting cosmicskipper55's post and giving him a heads-up should have done the trick. I don't think jumping straight to a ban was really necessary, you know?

Exactly.
