So, regarding blood work—specifically when doing a full physical—is there any interaction with SSRIs like Zoloft?
Anyone know?

Only if they run a targeted toxicology screen. Otherwise, it’s not part of the standard panel.

Look, finding AD in someone's bloodstream requires a much more high-tech lab than the basic ones you'll find at your local community hospital.

Don't sweat it; nobody's going to bust you for drinking AD. Even if they run a full toxicology screen, you've got nothing to worry about.

Honestly, you’ve been watching way too much CSI. Just think about the scale—there are tens of thousands of different drugs on the market. Where on earth would they even find the time or resources to test blood against every single one of them? 😕

Regarding the drugs, I agree there are way too many to test for everything, but that's not what I meant. I was asking if taking Zoloft changes a standard blood panel enough for doctors to conclude someone is on antidepressants based on their levels.

As far as I know—nope. Zoloft targets serotonin, which isn't something you can just spot on a standard lab panel. If you’re functioning normally, your blood work will look totally fine too. To put it simply: 😁 Don't sweat it; a routine blood test isn't going to flag that you're on Zoloft.

I gave birth to a stillborn baby about 20 days ago, and I've been prescribed Normabel—5mg, three times a day.

Honestly, I’m terrified to take it... worried about getting hooked. The label explicitly mentions the risk of dependency.

Has anyone here actually used this? What are your experiences with antidepressants, Normabel, Xanax, or similar meds?

And how much should you be taking? Is it just on an as-needed basis, or do you have a specific dosage prescribed by your doctor?
I suspect it’s pretty difficult to develop a dependency on something like this, especially if you only take it when you actually feel the need for it. I used to take Lexington at the 3 mg dose quite a while ago, mainly because I was going through an incredibly rough patch and just needed something to help me sleep. At one point, I was even prescribed Normabel, but honestly, I wouldn't touch it—it just didn't seem to do anything for me. I never became reliant on it, though I did take it occasionally whenever it felt necessary.

If you’re feeling way too groggy, just cut the pill in half.

Honestly, I don't think you need to force yourself to drink that much water; maybe just wait until you actually feel thirsty. Drinking that much three times a day seems like quite a bit!
