Need help with my avatar

I noticed most of you have custom avatars displayed under your usernames. Could someone walk me through the steps on how to set one up? Thanks in advance...🙂

Look at the bar right under the forum logo...

Options -> then look on the left side Edit avatar

Hey there! I don't want to start a whole new thread since this is pretty much tied to the avatar settings, but I was wondering—what's the official name for that little line of text right under your username, and does anyone know how I can change it?
