stooges 👋
I honestly hope they weren't caught performing in a subpar state, though I suspect they'll probably stick to playing very few new 🙂
but it still remains such an enigma why they aren't playing anything at all from the Williamson era 🙂

I’ve seen him perform live, and I have to say, Iggy Pop absolutely tears it up. But as for how the Stooges will hold up? Well, I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see how that unfolds..

Iggy Pop... man, this would’ve been an incredible show three years ago. Too bad the new Stooges dropped that total disaster of an album recently. Instead of playing all the hits from *Fun House* and the first record, they’ll probably just jam on the new stuff. Still, I'm heading 👋

Back when we saw them live, they were playing some strictly old-school stuff, but honestly, it all just felt like a mediocre garage band performing alongside a jittery, animatronic version of Iggy Pop.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. I don’t want to be the one to kill the vibe, so please, go ahead and enjoy yourselves. 😳

I get what you're saying... some buddies were at a show in Vegas and they said Iggy Pop basically needs a full medical team just to stay upright. Apparently, he can barely even walk off the stage after the set is over...
It’s kind of similar to what a friend told me once. He was touring through Europe with his band when they opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers, and he said with guys like the Peppers, every single member has their own medic on standby. As soon as they step off that stage, they're straight onto an IV drip... man, those old-school drug habits from back in the day really took a toll.

It’s not like I have anything against the headliners, but if they keep booking people like this, we won't see a major festival like Coachella hit the US until 2035.🙄
I don't know which of these artists is actually going to pull in the teens; Central Park might end up empty.
though I guess this is better than having Central Park packed with kids who only showed up for Linkin Park and Good Charlotte.

Hey, if Mike is coming down from college, talk him into staying one more night in LA so he can play us something 😁 anything 😳 it’ll definitely beat the college kids 😳
Actually, you know what? Maybe those college bands will actually be better on the main stage. You listen more, watch less, and there isn't that lukewarm, low-effort crowd energy... I don't know. That stage felt smaller than the venue in Brooklyn. I was pretty close to the front and still felt totally unimpressed. The sound was fine, but the overall vibe was zero. Meanwhile, the Melvins—who were just okay when they played in Chicago—absolutely crushed it on that exact same stage. And they're doing it again tomorrow 😁

Kevin Chavez3 said:well, having TWO zombie rock bands (though the critics😳) might actually be a bit much 😬to handle
:
heh...
I suppose my wish actually came true 😬

Forget Lollapalooza or Glastonbury... if Iggy Pop doesn't have a heart attack halfway through his set (since he's just a poser who moves too much and bores the hell out of me), then it isn't a real festival!
😈
btw
I think having a username like SUCK MY D***🤔 is a bit arrogant...
Apologies for being more vulgar than usual. My leg is hurting and I need to get to work, so I hope the mods can be understanding... 🙂

Prices are just getting out of hand lately... I was reading over on blogspot.com the other day about how when Sugar performed in San Diego, the whole show was absolutely incredible—and get this—it didn't cost a single cent.

Nice effort, man!
Sadly, we already gave this week's shoutout to Zlatko, but we've got a little consolation prize just for you! A one-day pass to a spa center for some serious foot care.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is coming up right after Lollapalooza!
This year's lineup is killer:
NEW YORK DOLLS—hands down one of my all-time favorites. I think they reunited back in '04 (the survivors, anyway) after thirty years apart and dropped a legendary album. You can't miss this.🙂 🙂 🙂
IGGY POP & THE STOOGES—do I even need to say it? Enough said.
😬 😬
SONIC YOUTH—alright, pretty solid, 😎 😎
!!!—honestly, I have no clue.
TBF—you guys know how I feel, I dig them more because their songs always remind me of Tom Petty.
GUSTAFI- Fine, should be a good time.
The Replacements- They're okay.
DJ Jazzy Jeff- Not really my vibe...
