Could someone please walk me through what these S-GGT values actually represent
and what kind of underlying issues they might be signaling regarding my health?

My brother was dealing with some elevated GGT levels recently, and his doctor laid it out pretty plainly: in about 90% of cases, those numbers spike because of alcohol consumption. He wasn't even a heavy drinker—just someone who would grab a few drinks on the weekend when he was heading out with his buddies—but it was enough to mess with his labs. Since he decided to cut out the booze entirely, his levels have already settled right back down to normal.
