Disturbia feels more accessible to today's crowd. It's always easier to connect with a character who matches your own age rather than someone from an older era.

I was referring specifically to the idea of being "more polished." While the term is a bit vague, Rear Window stands as one of Hitchcock's absolute masterpieces, whereas this seems to be a Caruso film, if I recall correctly. They really aren't in the same league.

Perhaps the idea is that it feels more credible given today's landscape—YouTube, Facebook, all this modern tech. That specific wording still leaves me a bit puzzled.

This is easily my favorite movie; I find myself circling back to it whenever I've got nothing better to do 🙂 .

Decent enough, but doesn't even touch Rear Window

Caught it last night. I gotta say, it was actually pretty good. It didn't feel like they were overdoing it with the drama, just kept things grounded and mostly realistic. But honestly? If we're talking about whether it tops Rear Window... nah, it doesn't quite reach those heights.

I agree with that sentiment, though I’d temper the "really good" part. To put it plainly: it's an okay movie, but it doesn't even come close to Rear Window.

Really fun movie. It’s a great way to kill some time if you're having a boring afternoon or evening.

Finally getting around to watching this after 13 years... 😁 I’ve been wanting to dive into this one for ages.
A few days ago, I actually gave up on that horror flick *The Wretched*—honestly, after thirty minutes, it was painfully obvious they were just trying too hard to appeal to teenagers.
This one definitely has those elements, but it doesn't feel forced or exhausting... it just looks genuinely gripping.
😁

It was a solid movie, I guess, but nothing special. Honestly, I think Hitchcock's Rear Window is way better.
