I've officially given up on the Voltaren.

Right now, the fever isn't even my biggest issue—honestly, I don't even have a high one at the moment...

The thing is, pills irritate the stomach lining because that's where they actually get absorbed—but suppositories absorb through the rectum, so you won't deal with that stomach ache after using one.

No shit, 🤣 you missed the part of the discussion regarding how Voltaren works systemically by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Besides, if we are strictly talking about local effects, wouldn't the rectum be the part that hurts? 😉

Try gargling with some sage oil mixed in a glass of water. I’ve got this bronchitis/pneumonia thing right now, and the sore throat started traveling down my throat so bad I couldn't even gargle like a normal person. I actually had to drag a chair into the bathroom and lean my head against the washing machine because it hurt way too much to hold my head up on its own. That gentle oil 🙏 🙏

(Voltaren tablets wreck my stomach, but the suppositories don't)

I made it through—didn't let it totally wreck me. I took some Advil and everyone was really looking out for me... Honestly, I didn't even get any of those side effects you guys warned me about, so now I’m just chilling in bed and finally starting to feel like myself again after being so sick.
