Of course you can fix it. Check this out: http://www.cirp.org/library/treatment/phimosis/dunn1/
If you stretch it enough, it’ll eventually loosen up. You don't need surgical tools; just use your hands to gently pull it back manually. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phimosis

To me, jumping straight to surgery for phimosis feels a bit like asking a doctor to amputate a broken leg. It's the "this isn't working, just cut it off" approach from people who are either too impatient or too stubborn to realize the body can actually heal itself if you give it a little time and some manual assistance.

To me, going under the knife for phimosis feels like asking to have a broken leg amputated: doctors, this sucks, just cut it off because I’m too lazy to wait and too dim to realize my body could probably heal itself if I just had some patience and a little help.

Not gonna lie, I disagree. If you've got phimosis combined with a short frenulum, stretching isn't doing squat. People act like I haven't tried it, but sometimes the skin just slides over during an erection and then gets stuck tight around the base of the head. Once it's twisted like that, you're basically screwed.

Great, just great... it’s been 9 days since my surgery and the bleeding is starting up again. 😲 Has anyone else dealt with this crap?
Dammit, looks like I'm heading back to the doctor today.

i'm 15 and i just read on Wikipedia that doing it too much before 18 can make you wider or something... i do it every day though...

Jeremy Cruz46 said:I have to disagree. If you’re dealing with phimosis combined with a short frenulum, stretching exercises aren't going to be your magic fix. People seem to think I haven't tried manual stretching, but here's the reality: even during an erection, the skin can sometimes slide back only to get caught behind the head, tightening around the base like a vice. Once it's stuck, you're essentially locked in.

A short frenulum is its own specific issue. It doesn't necessarily "strangle" the area, but it can pull the glans forward uncomfortably—just be careful not to let it slip too far if things are tight. If you use a little lubricant, you might be able to ease it back. In a worst-case scenario, you end up calling 911, and a doctor either manually resets it or performs an emergency circumcision. Honestly, that leads to the same outcome as the "get it cut now" approach. So, there is potential for a better result, not a worse one.
Using a knife is definitely not the answer.

Well, if you all would rather just rush straight to the ER with a detached scalp...

Alexander Lewis said:A short frenulum is its own thing. It doesn't really tighten everything up, but it might "tether" the head a bit. Just be careful not to force it if it’s super tight. Maybe try using some lube to help pull it back? In a worst-case scenario, you’d just call an ER and they can either reset it or just go ahead and circumcise you—which is basically the same result as the "just cut it off now" approach. So, I guess it could actually turn out better, not worse.
Using a knife isn't the move!

wait, I think I'm confused. It's not exactly tight for me since I can pull it back, but it stings a little when I pull it while it's semi-erect. Once it's fully hard, though, it gets really tough. I try pulling it back in the shower every day and stretching it out too... but what even is a short frenulum??? Is that tethering thing related to why the bottom part of my head turns blue when I pull the skin back?
