How do I set up...

I’m looking to add a signature line underneath my posts, you know, like those little quotes or random bits of nonsense people include at the bottom...
I'm assuming you guys get what I'm talking about, but if not, just ask and I'll try to find a better way to explain it...
Can someone please let me know how to do this? I'm actually pretty curious about it...

Hey everyone, is there any way to actually add an image to the... I guess you call it a "signature"???

Can't do it on this forum because our admin (mentioned earlier) hasn't enabled img codes in signatures. Apparently, he doesn't want a massive photo gallery cluttering up the site, right, Timothy Fowler39?😕

It’s a shame, really... though I suppose he's got a point. It would look pretty ridiculous having pictures attached to every single post, kind of like those cluttered message boards you see on some sites.

Don't get worked up, you can see we're just making progress with a little help.

So, I’ve got two things on my mind...
1. (The easy one) How do I change that little line under my username and above the avatar? Right now, mine just says "Registered User," while cosmicfalcon12 is out here rocking "Forum Pirate."
How do I pull something like that off?
2. (Question for the mods) What’s the deal if someone actually wanted to become a moderator? Even if it was just for a quiet, low-traffic sub-forum for a short stint, just to see if I could handle it... basically, is there some specific requirement you have to hit, or do you just put in an application and see what happens?

As for being a moderator... maybe read the community guidelines first to see what the requirements actually are. It’s a constant debate around here, but I guess it's hard to moderate anything when you haven't even mastered the basic forum tools yet.

and about the other thing... I’m saying I’d be down to give it a shot if I could actually learn how to do it... which is why I’m looking for some small, obscure sub-forum just to test the waters. If one of those big-shot moderators decides I'm being a nuisance, they can just kick me out or strip my mod status, no big deal.

You need to grasp some basics about how this forum works first. You have to understand which subforum you're actually in, and you should probably get a feel for how the moderators operate—that takes a certain level of experience (not that I’m the authority here). You can't just jump into a job if you don't know the first thing about it. Just hang out, watch how the mods handle things, and maybe you'll pick something up over time. It doesn't really work the way you think it does.
