It isn't quite as bad as I feared given all the comments, though it's definitely the weakest part so far. Hopefully, Part 2 will be significantly better.

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with this one. It was just a mountain of overacting, a total drag, filled with endless waiting for something to actually happen and way too much unnecessary sentimentality.

It felt like watching some mediocre drama starring high school theater kids. There’s basically nothing happening in the movie; the only "exciting" part was when the river shifted slightly, and even then, barely. Once again, they stretched the plot thin just to squeeze out more profit, which is always a bad sign. If I had to rename it, I'd call it "Melodrama and Overacting Without a Plot." You could sum up the entire story in three sentences.
It’s a letdown. I’ll probably move on to the next movie since I usually enjoy seeing how things wrap up, but this didn't leave any impression on me—honestly, you could have condensed everything interesting into a single hour.

I actually drifted off twice during the film, which I guess says enough.

Worst part so far. There’s hardly anything happening besides a bit of shouting and unnecessary drama. I just hope the final part actually delivers, because right now this feels like nothing more than a tedious buildup.

I just finished watching this movie recently.

I haven't actually read the books, so I can't really weigh in on that side of things.
To be honest, the first two films were just 'meh' for me. Like, they were fine enough to watch, but nothing particularly memorable.
I went into the third installment of the series with that same sense of indifference.

And I have to say, I was actually quite surprised.
The third part is truly outstanding.

Sure, you can tell the film was designed as a bit of a 'filler' before the grand finale—but the overall atmosphere, the storytelling, the characters... it’s all executed brilliantly.
Jennifer Lawrence is absolutely phenomenal (I mean, how could anyone possibly claim her acting is bad???). In the first film, I honestly thought she was a total miss in that role—but here, hats off to her.

All in all, I am genuinely impressed with the movie; I really enjoyed it.
Even if it feels a little 'stretched out,' the mood is handled exceptionally well.

The film received some pretty split reviews, but it feels to me like most of the negativity comes from the ADHD generation, who apparently can't handle a movie unless there's an explosion every five minutes.

I'm feeling the same way. It’s honestly a bit of a slog—I kept pausing just to ask myself why I was even watching—and it feels like Jennifer Lawrence spends more time posing than actually acting. It would probably be much tighter and more intense if they had just condensed everything into a single movie.

I actually just realized yesterday that I hadn't seen the movie yet, so I went ahead and downloaded it right away 🙂
I totally agree with what was said above—honestly, I think the movie would have been way more intense, and probably even better, if they had just packed everything into one film. There is so much action happening in the book, and spreading it out over two movies feels a bit unnecessary, I guess.
That being said, I wouldn't say the movie was boring at all. I absolutely adore Effie—especially with that headscarf she wears—and of course, Haymitch 😍
And Gale is 🙂 too, plus her sister Prim is just the cutest thing ever 🥳
All in all, it’s a pretty solid follow-up to the first two, though I think I still prefer the first two installments because of the arena and the whole competition aspect 😳
