Leiomyosarcoma info/discussion

Hey guys.. I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone here knows their stuff or has dealt with this specific tumor before? If you happen to have any insight, could you please check out this blog? I'm really looking for help—whether it was through standard medical treatments or alternative routes. Thanks a ton!😘

Both sides of our family checked out the blog. Just wanted to clear things up from my perspective as both the patient and the caregiver. What’s the current status, and are there any new test results?
From what I can see, she was treated using the Maid protocol plus radiation, but we didn't get the results we were hoping for.😢

But there's one really confusing part on the blog here: "therapy that began being administered yesterday in the fight against leiomyosarcoma"

That info comes straight from clinicaltrials.gov, and honestly, it doesn't really apply to the real world right now, especially since the study isn't even finished yet.

You cannot enter this trial if you

* have Had chemotherapy for Your leiomyosarcom before
* have Had radiotherapy in The Last 6 Weeks
* have Had Any other cancer in The pasti , apart fra non melanom skin cancer or carcinom in sit of The cervix
* Have severe numbness or tingling in your hands or feet (peripheral neuropathy)
* Are pregnant or breastfeeding

The whole situation is a bit of a mess, so I'm trying to break down the details without everyone having to go hunting through the blog.

So here’s the deal... this therapy is actually being used in America for the first time. From what I gathered from my sister, it's still considered experimental overseas, even though it's showing some real promise. Since it's not standard yet, Medicare won't cover it.
What I really wanted to get across is that they started the treatment two weeks ago. According to the blog, the tumor had already spread to three different spots, but the doctor wants to try this specific therapy first to see if we can shrink them down or stop them in their tracks—then they'll look at surgery. She just had an operation a month ago, so jumping straight back into surgery right now isn't exactly the best move. Hope that clears things up!

Yeah, that’s exactly my point—the clinical trial is still ongoing and doesn't wrap up until April 30th.
If anyone actually decided to go through with this in the States, they really ought to be upfront about where, who, and when.😕

Based on what I gathered from the blog, one thing is crystal clear: unfortunately, a patient absolutely can't join a clinical trial if they've already undergone treatment under the MAID
protocol.

The issue isn't Medicare; the real question is whether this is even being done LEGALLY or if someone is just trying to buy time.
