The new 3-D Ninja Turtle flick is absolutely crushing it at the box office in the USA right now.
Honestly, it's huge here too. I haven't seen much glowing praise from the critics, but look, as an old-school fan of Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo (not DiCaprio 😬 ), I'm just stoked to see them getting some love again.

I would certainly consider watching it, but it appears the theaters are only showing the dubbed version... 😢

I mean, I watched one a while back, something about some kind of time travel trip, I can't really recall the details... it was ages ago, I guess.

Exactly. That was TMNT III, where they traveled to ancient Japan. This animated version serves as a sequel.
I saw the movie at AMC... it wasn't bad, though I actually preferred the cast. For instance, my favorite was Ernie Reyes Jr.; he played Raphael, and he’s also known for playing that mouse soldier in the movie where the guy doesn't have a mustache.
Or take someone like a veteran character actor—he played Splinter.

I heard it’s kind of a kids' movie and pretty mid, but I'm still gonna check it out. Honestly though, I'm just glad they're back in the spotlight, especially since they're killing it at the box office right now.
Maybe they'll even drop the old episodes on DVD eventually.

Man, those guys were the soundtrack to my childhood... honestly... I still remember when I used to dress up as Leonardo for Halloween one year.😍Me and nine of my buddies all made plans to catch the Saturday night prime-time broadcast; we were all so hyped up, thinking we were going to be the coolest kids on the block, just acting like total tough guys and fooling around.🤣

Watched it yesterday with my girl at the theater...
We were hanging out in Indianapolis, just killing time from about 5 until 8, when my buddy swung by to pick us up after she finally wrapped up her exam.
I talked her into catching a movie...
It was just us and maybe 3 or 4 families with kids...
Even though it was only Tuesday around 6 PM...
It was actually pretty good. Fun movie, but super short—only about 70 minutes.
It’s definitely not some high-brow masterpiece, but it's worth a watch...
Good if you just want to zone out for a bit...
