Why does this Reddit always crash? There isn't a single day where we don't hit a lockout at least ten times. Sometimes the whole thing just hangs for half an hour.
Don't even try telling me I'm imagining things, because I'm not. I know what I'm seeing—I've been hanging around here long enough to notice the pattern. I’ll hit "post reply" and just sit there waiting... and waiting... only for a message to pop up saying the server timed out. And then I can't even go back and try again because I might have actually sent it without knowing, resulting in a double post. So instead, I have to reload the entire thread from scratch. On top of that, sometimes a post finally goes through after several minutes, but the thread list won't update; everything stays bolded like it hasn't been read, or the newest stuff doesn't show up.

However, I am still stuck in a repetitive loop where I’m forced to log back in every time I attempt to post—and occasionally, it isn't just at the start, but right after I hit "send." It seems I have the distinct luck of watching the entire site crash mid-process, leaving me staring at a loading screen wondering if my contribution actually went through or simply vanished into the ether. Naturally, this leads to those frustrating duplicate posts appearing everywhere. Please, get this sorted out once and for all.

I am about to lose my mind. I need a vent, so I’m coming here, because this stupid server is entirely to blame. I just finished typing out a massive, exhaustive post—one inspired by a thread about life in Times Square, NYC—where I truly attempted to clear up some misconceptions, given how much amateurish nonsense seems to circulate regarding that subject. I put genuine effort into articulating those points, only for the server to sabotage the whole endeavor; it swallowed the entire post whole, even after I tried submitting it twice when it finally looked successful. I can't exactly go out and kick a door down since there are sleepers in the house, so my only options are to either burst into tears or just hammer away at this keyboard. 🙂

Been around this Reddit long enough to have this happen multiple times. Learned the hard way to copy everything before hitting post. You never know when the server is going to glitch out on you 😁
