Pirates of the Caribbean: Part 1 or 2?

The first half leans more into those little character beats and subtle bits of humor... especially regarding Johnny Depp...
The second part feels like it relies a bit more on heavy visual effects and all that stuff..

To answer you, I definitely prefer the first half because of those small, clever touches and the dry wit.😬 😁

man, the first movie was absolutely killer... those lunar skeletons were sick...

part two felt pretty mid while I was watching it though... the plot was straight garbage... honestly not even worth talking about... especially that ending, which was such a letdown

so yeah, definitely sticking with the first one—I even grabbed it on Blu-ray

we'll see, maybe they'll actually try a little harder on the third installment and it won't suck quite as much...

The first part was definitely my speed—the humor really landed for me. Johnny Depp was absolutely hilarious! I could barely make it ten minutes into the second half... 🙂

The first one’s better... definitely... there’s basically zero action in the second one...

Part 1

If the second one was trimmed down by maybe 20 or 30 minutes, it actually would've been decent... felt a bit dragged out in places. Honestly, there were moments where it felt like I was just watching a damn hummingbird dance to Daft Punk

I wasn't even feeling the first one on my first watch, though. It took a second viewing for it to click... so maybe it's just me🤔

The first one is actually pretty solid, but the second one? I don't know, it just feels kind of confusing and off to me.

I think I actually laughed more during the second part... specifically at that legendary look Johnny Depp gives when that total airhead tries to steamroll him after he falls into that hole on the island
