With everything feeling a bit heavy lately, I thought it might be nice to put together a list of movies that really spark a sense of optimism and give you that extra bit of strength when you need it most.
In your opinion, which films fall into that special category of being "toughly positive"?

For instance, I always find myself thinking back to Erin Brockovich—there’s just something about how it's a true story that makes it feel so much more powerful...

What kind of crash are we talking about?
Maybe you mean the one by Haggis or the Cronenberg version?

You’ve got to check out "I Am Being Sam" starring Sean Penn and little Dakota Fanning... It’s a fantastic movie...

I just suddenly thought of the sweet Amelia movie 😉 right now.
😘It's such a feel-good, romantic film!

Amélie - pure optimism from start to finish.

Kamikaze Girls - It’s obvious that Amélie served as an inspiration for the director here, though this film manages to be even more upbeat.

I suppose even a Cronenberg film feels somewhat optimistic by comparison.😵

😘 It’s actually a relief to find someone else who watched it... I enjoyed it so much that I went as far as translating the subtitles myself (a foolish move, considering I had an exam the next day which, naturally, I failed) just so I could show my friends. Their reaction was pretty much: 😕 - one friend of mine felt exactly the same way.

Is it because they ended things by taking their own lives? Hmm...

Optimistic? They’re certainly brilliant, but calling them optimistic😕
is a bit of a stretch if you ask me. To be honest, they don't really leave me feeling energized or uplifted...

Zenovski is actually being positive here

haggis or cronenberg???

Oh, definitely the Cronenberg one, 🤣 🤣 🤣
I can't stand anything by Haggis.

The most optimistic thing I've watched lately was actually Volver by Almodovar 🙏 🙏 🙏
