So, I noticed this totally by accident—and mind you, I’m not even a drinker—but having a glass or two of bourbon seems to kill my period cramps way better than those heavy-duty painkillers I usually grab. It’s actually working better than the strongest stuff in my medicine cabinet! Does anyone actually know the science behind why this happens?
Is there maybe a specific type of whiskey or craft spirit that works best for dealing with women's health issues like this?
😁😍

It’s got nothing to do with menstrual cramps, but whiskey was my go-to whenever I had a toothache. I’d soak a cotton ball in it and press it against the spot. Local moonshine did the trick.🙂

Omaha spirits are good for your veins, too.

I’ve always been a big believer in living healthy. Back in the day, whenever my stomach would act up or I felt under the weather... there wasn't a single thing a home remedy couldn't fix.

It’s absolute perfection for those minor little ailments. I actually scored two liters of some homemade pear brandy that’s been aging for 15 years, and honestly? I’m hoarding it like crazy just for moments like this. It’s way better—and definitely healthier—than any overpriced pill you can grab at a CVS. I don't even care for the taste much, but when I'm feeling under the weather, I just take a tiny sip and boom, instant relief.😬 😬 😬

My granddad starts every single morning with a little pour from his homemade bourbon bottle.😁
But honestly, he never sees a doctor, and he never complains about a thing.
No heart issues, blood pressure problems, or any of that stuff that usually hits you as you get older.
Even at 72, the guy still looks like he’s in his prime.

From what I've heard, plenty of people actually find success using that kind of "treatment."

Honey wine made from specific honey types, or maybe grape juice mixed with extra honey, can actually do wonders for a sore throat. Even Omaha brandy with honey helps clear up sickness pretty fast...
Grape juice is the best way to break a fever...

Elizabeth Cook33—my grandma knocks back a little homemade moonshine every single day. She's 76, still drives, and has her hunting license. My grandpa is just as tough as nails, too, but I gotta factor in that they live in Appalachia. The air there is just cleaner... you can't blame everything else on luck!

It’s true that it helps with period cramps. My doctor actually suggested a small glass of bourbon over an over-the-counter painkiller. It’s thought to help dilate the blood vessels, which improves circulation and eases those spasms.
Besides, a good whiskey can fix just about anything—if not physically, then certainly mentally.
Personally, I’m not much of a bourbon drinker, but other spirits aren't bad either...
