Well, I’ve been caught twice now. It was sinus tachycardia followed by subventricular tachycardia, complete with skipped beats and some non-specific T-wave changes. However, I keep hearing that Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome isn't always easy to pin down on a single test, which is honestly starting to make me panic. These episodes aren't rare either; they happen daily, lasting about an hour at a time with my heart rate hitting 160.

These tachycardias happen every single day and last about an hour at a time, pulse hitting 160.

If you can scan both ECGs and post them here. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome isn't actually that hard to diagnose—it's basically a pre-excitation syndrome...

Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner on hand right now because I’m traveling abroad, and getting back isn't exactly easy—I can barely manage three steps without stumbling, let alone tackle a flight of stairs. To give you some context, this whole mess started with a viral infection, and ever since then, my heart has been skipping beats and racing uncontrollably. Now, I've become almost entirely immobile. But here's the kicker: my cardiologist insists my heart is perfectly healthy. If that's the case, how on earth am I unable to walk?

So, I’ve been dealing with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome since I was a kid, and now I'm 26. Just wondering how people actually fix this. I've heard it's possible to totally clear it up with a procedure. Anyone got the actual lowdown?

Just type "ablation center" into Google. You'll find plenty of info there about how the whole ablation process works...☕

I’m an 18-year-old living here in the States, and I’ve been dealing with chest pains near my heart since I was just a little kid, maybe 6 or 7. Things finally got serious about three months ago when I went to the doctor and they diagnosed me with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. My parents and I have both done a ton of digging into this, and honestly? This condition isn't dangerous. You don't even necessarily need medication for it. I haven't seen a cardiologist yet, but everyone keeps telling me it's nothing to worry about, and I'm starting to believe them. Before I knew what it was, my heart would start skipping beats at night, and I'd get hit with sweats just thinking about it. But ever since I realized this isn't some life-threatening thing, the palpitations and the pain have completely vanished for two months straight. I'm calm, my parents are calm, and that's how it should be. Seriously, the more you obsess over it, the more those palpitations are going to happen. I've been steady for two months now, almost like the condition isn't even there. Thank God for that. That’s just my take on it—hope it helps someone out. Peace.

thanks for the kind words... I’m 26 and I’ve been dealing with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome for about four years now. I take Bisoprolol... and if you don't mind me saying, I really think it would be a good idea for you to go see a cardiologist just so you know exactly where you stand. Please reach out again when you can, I'm genuinely interested in how you're doing... there aren't many of us out here, so I'd love to stay in touch🙂

I saw my cardiologist about a month ago. He told me they have these advanced procedures now that can actually get rid of this syndrome for good, but there’s a catch—the treatment is incredibly expensive. He did mention that I could easily live to be a hundred with this condition, but honestly, what’s the point of living with a constant issue when there’s a way to fix it? Those were his exact words, and he’s right. It just sucks because everything in life costs money, including your health. As I mentioned, the price tag is just too high for me right now. On the bright side, thank God I'm not feeling the symptoms like I was at the beginning; it feels almost like the syndrome isn't even there anymore. Anyway, I sent you a DM. Cheers.

Hey everyone...
I won't go on forever about Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
Nowadays, you can actually fix WPW through catheter ablation. From what I know, they've done this procedure quite a bit over at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
I'll leave it at that for now, but if you want more details (to the best of my knowledge, obviously 🙂), just shoot me a DM.

Anyone else here on meds for WPW or thinking about getting an ablation done?
