Man, you really had to be there... 😁 One dude absolutely loved that record, while me and another guy couldn't stand it. When The Rolling Stones dropped a later album, it got one of the most brutal, cynical reviews ever published in The New York Post, I think. So, that other guy and I just cut the review out and taped it right onto the album cover—not that it made any difference, since it wasn't even about this one—and we even drew these ridiculous, angry faces on it...
But honestly, I gotta admit, I’ve developed this weird sentimental soft spot for the album over the years, even though it’s objectively terrible... 😁
If nothing else, it's because of "Bubbles," where after some pretty pathetic English lyrics, Tony just starts belting it out in his local accent:
Well, look here, Bubbles,
I'm a real cool guy,

But I'm still a rebel!
