That might help; the temperatures aren't really anything to worry about right now anyway.

You should probably scrape off the old paste too, btw.

Maybe some fresh paste would drop things by a couple of degrees, but honestly, your temps look solid as they are.

If it’s working, I wouldn't touch a thing. 😁

I'm dropping this here so I don't clutter up the boards with a new thread. I want to know if it'll cause any headaches if I swap out an Intel Pentium for an Intel Core i3 in a Dell Inspiron. Right now, it’s running an Intel Pentium. From what I can gather—and I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to laptop internals—the socket should be identical. Can anyone confirm if that's actually true?
