It’s honestly never too lateβ€”just grab your gear, head to the gym, and get to work.

Just go out there and enjoy it... even if things don't work out, at least you can say you gave it everything you had and actually gave it a shot.

If I recall correctly, even Mike Tyson wasn't much older when he first started out. (Correct me if I'm wrong!)

You wouldn't believe how many women are at my boxing gym right now.
They aren't exactly focused on the heavy hitting yet, but they put in the workβ€”hitting the bags, working the mitts, while the coach gives individual attention to some while the others grind through jump rope drills. It’s great for conditioning, staying fit, and just blowing off steam. Honestly, I don't mind watching them stretch out, too πŸ™‚ β€”it doesn't seem to bother them one bit

A close friend of mine didn't even get started until she was twenty-five; so, if she hasn't missed her window yet...

Yeah, I don't really get why girls usually gravitate toward those combat sports that are mostly just striking...
It feels like there are way more women showing up to Taekwondo classes than Aikido sessions lately.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't out there trying to knock each other's heads off, but they work hard. They're hitting the heavy bags, working the mitts, and the coach gives everyone individual attention while the rest of the group stays busy with bag work or jump rope. It’s great for staying fit, toning up, and just having fun. Plus, I don't mind watching them stretch outβ€”it seems like they don't mind the attention either πŸ™‚.

So... which gym do you go to?

I’ve got a quick question.

Does anyone happen to know if the local gym over by the downtown area is taking on new members right now (or anytime soon)? Also, how often do they actually hold sessions? I'm looking for a bit more detail regarding their training schedule.πŸ™‚

I think they do. I see new women joining all the timeβ€”just one showed up this past Tuesday.
The instructor is top-tier, really high level. For everything else, you're better off just dropping by in person or giving them a call at 555-0199.

Actually, no, Tyson really got going way earlier than that.
I mean, Tyson was basically starting back in middle school.
By the time he was just 13 or 14, he was already training with D'Amat, who was already a huge name in the coaching world back then.
