Lady Vengeance was released here in a version that is nothing short of an absolute disgrace

The film is stuck in 4:3 aspect ratio with basic stereo sound, which is honestly bottom-of-the-barrel garbage for a DVD release
The second thing is that the box art explicitly claims it’s 16:9 with Dolby Digital—that isn't just a mistake, it's straight-up false advertising. Honestly, it borders on criminal. I have no clue why anyone would even think to butcher a masterpiece like this. That distributor (Discovery Channel) has pulled some questionable moves before (like with that Whiskey release), but they've never dared to mess with a film this good. Just watch the opening scene to see how amateurish the cropping is. You've got half a face in the frame—it's a complete SHAME. This should be reported to the Better Business Bureau because using fake specs to sell a product is predatory

Continental basically remade a whole new Gillian, but at least they had the decency to print the truth on the box, so you actually know what you're grabbing at the video store or the shop

Man, if I could, I’d go watch that again on the big screen, but I’m pretty sure that’s never gonna happen. ;(

I’ve sat through all three films now, and honestly, they’re all masterpieces. Each one is exceptional in its own right, even if there's a massive stylistic gulf between the first and the second. ...Kill Bill remains my absolute favorite though.
