Hey there, everyone,

I’m not sure how many of you have actually heard of Saint Catherine—it’s this relatively new private hospital specializing in orthopedics, spine stuff, physical therapy, MRIs, ultrasounds, and God knows what else (did a quick little deep dive on their site 🙄). They have locations in Washington, D.C., and out near Annapolis. I won't drop the phone number here because I don't want this looking like some blatant ad, but they have a website if you feel like Googling them. ☕

Anyway, I ended up there basically by accident, and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. First off, they accept referrals, and the wait times aren't bad at all—maybe a day or two tops. That caught me off guard because I didn't even realize a place like this existed, let alone that they take Medicare. Second, the staff is so incredibly kind and polite that it was almost awkward—I’m just not used to being treated that well, you know? The doctors are legit pros (I specifically saw Dr. Rod and Dr. Borić), and even though it’s a private facility, I didn't get that shady vibe where they try to pressure you into surgery just to pad their pockets.

Since the lady at the front desk mentioned they run promotions all the time, maybe y'all could chime in? If you've been there, let me know who you saw, what you paid, what the standard rates are, if you were happy... I don't know, just whatever. I figured it'd be helpful to post this since most people have no clue these guys even exist, much less how to book an appointment or deal with the logistics...
Any thoughts on this are welcome, and please, ladies, feel free to share your opinions and suggestions.

Thanks a million!
🙂
Bdw, I've actually spotted Dr. Borić hanging out with the New York Red Bulls players a few times before—I had no idea it was the same guy examining me, haha! 🙂

Has anyone here had any personal experience working with their physiatrists?

Thanks!

My experience with them:
I needed to get an MR scan.
Their website listed a phone number, but there wasn't an email address to be found.
( This was back in May 2018 ).
When I called, I just kept getting hit by an automated answering machine. You couldn't even leave a message; the recording would play its bit about them calling you back ASAP, and then the line would just cut off.

They never actually returned my call.

Instead, I went through Medicol using my Medicare referral, and after a month of waiting, I finally got it done.

They are certainly polite people, but in my experience, I was told that waiting for an orthopedic consultation using a referral takes about a month.
Regarding MRI scans, they had a significant backlog of patients waiting for appointments, depending on how quickly Medicare approved the coverage.
I was quite satisfied with the actual services I received there, though I ended up paying out of pocket for everything (and they have actually raised their rates since then).

Hey everyone, does anyone know if you can still see specialists at Saint Catherine using an insurance referral (specifically looking for a pediatric orthopedist), and if so, what’s the current wait time like?
If that's not an option, does anyone happen to know how much a private consultation would run me?

I’m looking for some advice—I’ve been dealing with this inflamed nerve in my elbow for about three weeks now. I know, I know, I really should be resting it, but honestly, with my right hand being so active, staying still feels almost impossible. Has anyone else gone through this? I already went to see my doctor, and it was the usual routine—prescribed some ibuprofen, told me to use ice, and suggested rest—but nothing seems to be making a dent. It's just not getting any better, I guess.

You definitely can. I actually saw the adult specialist there recently, and the wait was less than a month.
