Shoulder joint pain

I guess... my shoulder popped out (probably because five different surgeons couldn't get their act together 🙄), and now I'm strapped into this waist-high cast 😕. I honestly thought they’d just pop it back in and call it a day—but apparently, everything has to be a massive ordeal 👎

So, please—recommend some actual heavy-duty painkillers. My doctor suggested Voltaren or Advil or whatever other useless crap
—but nothing "standard" touches this pain.
I can't sleep, I can't walk, I can't even sit... basically, I'm just sitting here at my desk losing my mind and wondering if I should just go back and demand they rip this damn cast off. Before they put it on, it just hurt when I lifted my arm, but now? It feels like someone is taking a knife to my joints 🙂

Where did they end up putting the cast, and how long did they tell you that you'd be stuck in it?

vz, about 2-3 weeks.

But an edit: by around 4:30 AM I was already losing it from the pain—I was joking that they should just bring me some shears and a saw, then after fighting it for a solid hour and a half, I just cut myself out.

God, the relief was unreal.😎 I called 911, and the guy tells me it looks like they messed up the application entirely.😠 :2up: 🙂

My doctor told me to wrap it up and rest, otherwise things could get messy. It still hurts, but it’s twenty times better than being in that cast. Before, when I finally got it off, my arm was completely swollen and my shoulder was bright red.🙄

I don't know, that whole drywall thing sounds kind of weird to me...

Yeah, I felt pretty stupid too 🙄

Anyway—what are the strongest painkillers you can actually pick up over the counter here?
