Man, looks like Mirkec absolutely laid the smackdown on him. 😁

I'm not about to drop a link here just so you can see what someone looks like after getting hit by a freight train. πŸ‘Ž

Red Deb, if you actually take a second to look at the footage, it’s pretty obvious that Fedor Mirko wasn't getting outworked; he was just much more active.
I get why that’s hard for you to wrap your head around... it’s probably because you're overcomplicating things.

Don't go dropping a link just so I can see what someone looks like after getting flattened by a freight train.

Go ahead, drop it. If my memory serves me right, Fedor took way more of a beating than Mirko did.

It was really just about the limited fight time
if he had gone "all out" until the very end, Mirko would have ended up either completely broken or worse
unfortunately, he just let his own fear or maybe being too intimidated by his opponent get the better of him
as much as it stings to admit, Fedor was clearly the superior fighter

It was only a limited round fight anyway.
If they had gone "to the finish," Mirko would've ended up either broken or dead.

I mean, what, were they supposed to brawl all day? It went the distance and Fedor walked away with the judges' decision.

Casey Ramos31, first things first, you really need to learn how to use the "quote" function! πŸ™‚

Secondly, I’m not posting that link here because there are kids reading this thread. 😁

Good grief...
I’m not sure we’ll be seeing a rematch anytime soon after that...
Frederick is an absolute machine. Broken nose, closed eye, broken hand... yet he just keeps pushing through.
Who knows if he’ll even want to step back into the cage with Mike? Mike is going to have to fight tooth and nail just to get another shot at Frederick.

Man... it’s hard not to laugh when I remember people on here saying things like, "Mike only landed one shot on Frederick."
The look on Frederick's face says it all.

Federov’s manager already stated they are down for a rematch.
He even said it during a post-fight interview.

As for how Federov looked, it's true that Mike really had him on the ropes during the first round.

It actually looked like Mike was taking more hits from Frederick, but I guess Mike's strikes were just doing way more damage. In my opinion, it all comes down to Mike's superior technique. Frederick's punches might look heavy, but I'd argue they aren't actually that powerful because his form is just lacking.

I didn't get the impression that Frederick landed more strikes either.
Those ground-and-pound exchanges were basically just show business anyway.

Mike dodged every single one of Frederick's legitimate strikes.
I think Mike only really ate one solid middle kick and one knee.

Fedor's going to need at least two months of complete downtime just to recover from this.
He won't be stepping back into the ring until spring, likely missing the next GP.
Even then, he'll probably have to grind through four or five fights before we see him face Mirko again.
If they don't settle it at the GP, we might not see anything until New Year's Day 2007. Maybe even then.
